Nestled in Middleburg, FL, the farm is a serene 12-acre property with a wheelchair accessible mounting ramp, outdoor riding arena, and sensory trail for our clients. In our riding arena, you will find colorful cones, a basketball hoop, letters, and a ring-toss game. The sensory trail has ground poles, barrels, and many hidden surprises, waiting to be found by our clients. To best set our clients up for success, we have adaptive equipment, such as loop ladder reins and activity boards. We also have picnic tables and Adirondack chairs for our client’s families to enjoy as they watch their family member’s sessions. Sessions are individualized and typically one on one with our occupational therapist, physical therapist, or therapeutic riding instructor.

HNH Blueberry Farm is located in Bostwick, Florida, about an hour south of Jacksonville. This is a family farm with lots of blueberry bushes. They are typically open on the weekend, Saturday 8-7 and Sunday 1-6, but check their Facebook page for updates on availability.

Towers Family Farms is family-owned and operated since 2013. Our business started over a Thanksgiving meal in 2012. By 2013, the 300-acre farm became a reality in Palatka, FL, and was given the name Towers Family Farms. Children are not born with clear vision, but with visual potential. Visual development takes place during the first several years of life. Just like learning a language, children are also learning to see the world around them. Ophthalmic problems or even routine refractive errors (the need for glasses) can interfere with a child’s visual development.

It is estimated that about 80% of a child’s learning is visually based. Good vision is not only necessary for a child to learn to read and advance academically, but also for appropriate social development, behavior, self-esteem, and coordination.

Since younger children cannot express or verbalize their vision, and older children may not be aware enough to understand they have a visual problem; it is important to have any concerns evaluated. Pediatric eye evaluations and treatment differ greatly from the typical eye problems of adults. Children should be seen by someone with special skills and knowledge in pediatric eye care.

There are several projects that require problem solving to create an acceptable solution. In addition to hands on projects, they go on many field trips to learn firsthand the culture and creative methods of each place visited. A real memorable learning experience engrained in each child.

Students in Gifted Class have unique opportunities to receive a participatory and experimental approach to learning. The students achieve hands on levels of learning and knowledge not available in text books.

In order for a child to be in the Gifted Program, they must be first recommended to the Guidance office by their teacher or parents can request testing. We’ve been commercially making beer for our friends, neighbors and visitors of Orange Park’s Brewer’s Pizza since early 2011. All that time Brewer’s has been serving Pinglehead Brewing Company’s handcrafted beer along side of some of the highest ranked beers America has to offer. Our goal was to truly understand how our beer would stack up against the best of the best. Based on what Brewer’s customers have to say, our beers are not just competitive, they are usually their first choice.

The Town of Orange Park Farmer’s and Arts’ Market was created in September 2012. The market is run by The Town of Orange Park Events and Recreation Division. We have grown tremendously since our opening day. We now have over 100 vendors on a regular basis that offer a variety of homemade and homegrown products from local merchants, live entertainment, food on-site, and a great family atmosphere!

When is the market held? The market is held on most 1st and 3rd Sunday’s of each month from 11am-4pm. Some Sunday’s we’re closed due to special events or holidays. Our season runs from September through May and we are closed June, July, and August.

Where is the market located? The market is located on the busy corner of US17 and Kingsley Ave. 2042 Park Ave, Orange Park, FL 32073. This is an outdoor market and sometimes due to inclement weather the market may be closed. Just look for the large yellow signs!

What can you expect to find at the market? We offer a huge variety of quality handmade and homegrown items. You will find nearly anything your heart desires from locally grown honey, cupcakes, pies, salsa, granola, plants, produce, raw milk, eggs, cheeses, hand crafted jewelry, bird houses, pottery pieces, didgeridoos, soaps, and many many more handcrafted items!

Where do I park? Due to the success of our market, parking can, unfortunately, be problematic. We suggest parking at CVS/Winn Dixie and using the pedestrian crosswalks to enter the market. There is also parking at Town Hall off of US 17 and Smith St and Kingsley Ave- both of these areas offer limited parking.

How do I become a vendor? All vendors are required to fill out an application. Applications can be found on our website click here or you can pick up an application at Town Hall or our booth at the market.

The groundbreaking for this 90 acre park was held on February 21, 2003. A large portion of this park will help preserve the environmentally sensitive area around McGirts Creek. At the completion of construction in March 2007, the park includes a community center, basketball courts, playground, picnic areas, trails, three youth baseball fields and two soccer fields. A highlight of the park is the “Field of Dreams” Miracle League field, where special needs children are able to experience playing in their own baseball league. Concieved by the West Jacksonville Rotary and funded by private donations, Lew Brantley Field was dedicated in May 2007.
