DanceMania is now offering an after school dance and performing arts program with bus transportation from local designated schools. Where Children Become the Greatest Version of Themselves
Growing Together Behavioral Center is one of Jacksonville’s premier schools for children with autism and developmental disabilities. We pride ourselves on being a school where each child is treated as an individual, and educational plans are tailored to their personal needs.
For the 2018-2019 school year, we are excited to partner with 25 students with autism and other developmental disabilities, ages 3 through 15 years. For each child, we will offer a comprehensive educational and therapeutic program, specifically providing students with customized academic plans, while integrating proven, research-based behavioral strategies into every learning task. Our school is unique from the public school settings, as we are able to focus on the specific needs of each individual child, whether academic, life skills, or behavioral. We are also unique in that we offer year-round school and extremely low student to teacher ratio (largest class 6:2), both of which are proven methods to help our children work toward their highest level of learning.
At Growing Together we believe that all students affected by autism and other developmental disabilities can reach their fullest potential through an education based in structure, fun engagement with peers, and loving teachers and staff supporting and encouraging them daily. Each child’s individual strengths and challenges are continually assessed to direct the child’s teachers in selecting the best methodologies to target the child’s current needs. We believe that open communication between teachers, staff, and families is a must, and we have communication plans in place with each family to meet those needs.

Neuropsychologist and President of The Morris Center Ponte Vedra Beach, Dr. Tim Conway, is excited to bring his transdisciplinary team of learning disorder treatment specialists to North Florida. Episcopal Children’s Services offers the Early Head Start and Head Start Programs. Early Head Start is for pregnant mothers and children birth to 3. Head Start is for children ages 3 to 5. The programs are free for children of families with low incomes. It provides early learning in home-based or center-based settings. The program focuses on strengthening children’s readiness for school by increasing parental knowledge of children’s growth and development. The program provides inclusive services in the areas of health, mental health, disabilities, and parent and community engagement. All children within the program are screened for developmental progress, health, dental, vision, and hearing.

Hope Haven has been serving the greater Jacksonville area for almost 100 years. We provide clinical services: neuropsychological testing (ADHD, ADD, Autism), mental health counseling (ages 3 through adult), and advocacy for families. Through our educational services we offer Discovery School (enrolling ages 3-5 all abilities), Out of School programming, Summer Camps, Employment and Transitional Services (ages 14+) for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities. Our Education Development Services (ages 5-22) support students with an individualized reading approach covering phonemic awareness, phonics, and comprehension. Fletcher’s Tender Care, LLC is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Facility (PPEC) also known as a medical daycare. There are so many families located in the Jacksonville area that have medically fragile children and are not aware of these services. We hire experienced nurses and certified nursing assistants to care for our special needs children while the parents work. We are open from 7a to 6pm, Monday through Friday – children must have Medicaid in order to qualify, we offer transportation to and from the centers, therapies ST, PT, and OT, and music therapy.
