At Tutor Time, our approach to child care is based on our strongly held belief that all children are intelligent. Our Whole Child Education approach provides what we believe are the best ways to nurture and develop that intelligence: hands-on, active learning and opportunities for self-expression and peer relationships.
Our classrooms are not typical child care environments. They feature different learning centers full of ways for children to explore and investigate all the ways they are smart. They also are designed to build problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. To make sure all children have the tools they need to grow and develop into the leaders of tomorrow, Tutor Time teachers also supplement these experiences with large and small group activities. After school programs and winter camps also available.

John E. Ford is a magnet montessori school. The Main Premises of Montessori Education are:
Children are to be respected as different from adults and as individuals who differ from each other.
The child possesses an unusual sensitivity and intellectual ability to absorb and learn from his environment that is unlike those of the adult both in quality and capacity.
The most important years of a child’s growth are the first six years of life when unconscious learning is gradually brought to the conscious level.
The child has a deep love and need for purposeful work. He works, however, not as an adult for completion of a job, but the sake of an activity itself. It is this activity, which enables him to accomplish his most important goal: the development of himself, his mental physical and psychological powers.

The Playgarden is very excited to offer a 2, 3 or 5-day Forest Waldorf inspired program to ages 4-6! Our students are fully immersed in all the outdoors has to offer. The long-term benefits of learning outside in nature are well researched and documented. Our local parks provide the perfect setting with Florida scrub hammock, forest, wetland, dunes, and beach all in one location. Just like our traditional program, we recognize the benefits of following a predictable rhythm to bring order to our time in the Forest. Each part of our forest rhythm is designed with this in mind and includes circle time, story-time, nature hike, snack, outdoor artistic activities, cooking and baking and of course lots of time for play, observation, exploration, discovery, and wonder.

We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origins, genders, or religious affiliations in the administrations of its educational or admissions policies. #CO4DU0093

Founder, Martin Freeman, is a former law enforcement officer and is a father of 5. He recalls hearing the concerns of many coworkers, friends, and associates regarding the lack of childcare during their demanding unconventional work schedules. A probationary officer, who at the time had recently graduated from the Academy was placed on the midnight shift. She couldn’t find adequate childcare for her hours of work and also suffered from postpartum depression to the point that she attempted suicide. After Martin and his team rescued her, he was determined never to let this happen to another person. Martin’s endeavor to help ensure that no other parent face this type of situation was developed. His passion to provide a quality 7 days a week childcare, which would provide childcare during traditional and or non-traditional work hours for first Responders and all working parents was created.

Preschoolers are introduced to cognitive skills: sequencing and matching; social skills: similarities and diversity; and language art skills: storytelling and writing.

The Goddard School® F.L.EX.® Learning Program sets the stage for self-confidence by encouraging progress at a child’s own pace, according to individual needs and abilities.

Learning centers for math, science, dramatic play, music, creative art, and computers provide opportunities to balance both shared and independent learning experiences. Fitness, art history, and manners are incorporated into the preschooler’s daily schedule, as well. Visits by local museums and libraries, community helpers, and theatrical productions supplement classroom learning within the safety of our schools.
All programs are customized to your child’s progress, needs, and age. Schedule a tour today to experience a day in the life of your preschooler!
