After much consideration and planning, We are excited to announce we have partnered with divers den located by mail and more on Kings bay road to start an indoor heated year round swim school (survival swimming oriented) for all various levels of swimming starting at ages 5 months (able to sit and roll independently) and up we will be opening November 1st, 2018 unless contacted by message to start sooner and the hours will be from 12:15-6:00

For as long as we possibly can we will be offering a 50% military (active, retired, veterans, and their dependents), emergency first responser, and teacher discount off of the weekly fees.

For the survival swimming basic training it takes on average about 5 weeks of one on one lessons Monday-Thursday for 15 minutes a day for little ones to become completely skilled.

Kent’s U-Pick Fresh Blueberry Farm uses no pesticides on the blueberry bushes. Reservations required. Listed on Facebook. They try to estimate how plentiful the berries will be to accommodate and if weather permits. The season usually lasts six weeks. Mid-May to end of June. During blueberry season, the blueberries do not ripen all at the same time. There are no restroom facilities. Normally schedule Wednesday or Saturday from 7:30 to 12 noon for picking. If the schedule is not on Facebook, call to see what days are open and to make reservations.

Directions: Blueberry field is located at the end of Thomas Mill Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Starting at Lem Turner Road and Highway I – 295, head out north on Lem Turner Road (SR-115) toward Callahan, and go 3.5 miles to Braddock Road. Turn left onto Braddock Road, go one block, and turn left onto Thomas Mill Road (the first part is short and paved). Continue straight onto the dirt part a short distance and look for the windmill. Congaree and Penn boast the largest (and youngest) Mayhaw orchard in the world, after planting over 5,000 trees throughout the past few years. Native to the South, this fruit-bearing tree has inspired us to seek out and plant other native and hearty Southern species.

Concord Park is located in the in the Lake Forest section of northwest Jacksonville, near the intersection of Edgewood Avenue and U.S. Interstate 95. After filing of the first plat in 1926, it was not until around 1944 that development began again in Lake Forest, whose streets and parks exhibit an American Revolutionary War theme. Concord Park is one of two half-oval parks that were named and platted by the developers in 1944. Battles at Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts on April 19, 1775 between the colonial Minutemen and the British redcoats marked the beginning of the War. Through the years, the park has remained a small, neighborhood facility with play equipment for the children, and a major improvement project in 1999 added picnic facilities, new benches, and a water fountain. With several towering pine trees providing shade and visual relief, the park offers a place for fellowship and relaxation.

Captain Alvarez is a fourth-generation Jacksonville local who has grown up fishing these waters. His love for the ocean started at a very young age, not only fishing but also surfing our beaches. You will be fishing on a 2016 Pathfinder 24-foot center console, powered by a Yamaha 300 horsepower outboard. We fish exclusively with Penn reels, most of which are paired on Ugly Stik rods. Spider Wire Ultra Cast braided line makes long-casting easier, and pulling those tough redfish out of the rocks. Most of the fishing is live bait, although Sebile Plugs and Berkley Gulp are always on the boat for that early morning trout bite or jigging the St. Johns River for flounder.

In April 2000, Bob Hayes Sports Complex became a reality when the City purchased an adjacent parcel to Lonnie Miller Regional Park from the Diocese of St. Augustine for $175,000 (OR 9610 pg. 1347), subject to an easement for underground utilities, access, and other terms (OR 7330 pg. 1398).As of December 2004, funding has been approved for the $1.4 million project, which will be put out for bids as soon as the latest revision of the plans is completed. To be known as the Bob Hayes Soccer Complex (or possibly Sports Complex), the facility will include several youth soccer fields, a football field, a pavilion/concession building that will also contain restrooms and storage space, playground and picnic equipment, bleachers, sidewalks, an asphalt trail, parking, a retention pond, irrigation, sewer/drainage facilities, and landscaping.

Ed Austin Regional Park is a huge park with so many fun things to offer. The large playarea is enclosed with a fence. There are soccer fields, baseball fields, a skateboard area, a 1.75 mile paved (mostly shaded) path, basketball courts, a frisbee golf course and many large open fields for running around. FIRST COAST FUTSAL ACADEMY  designs its futsal programs targeting players of all levels. We create a learning environment that focuses on building skills, confidence and encouraging creativity while enhancing a players’ passion for the game. The priority of our Futsal clinics is to work on players’ individual skills that coaches are not able to teach during team practices.

Futsal is a variant of association football played on a hard court, smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It has similarities to five-a-side football. Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper.

Cesery Park is located in Arlington’s Lake Lucina neighborhood, at the corner of Cesery Boulevard and Columbine Street. The park and boulevard are named for William R. Cesery (1912-1996), a pioneer developer of Arlington who started the trend of building larger apartment complexes in Jacksonville. About 1950, he purchased forty acres for his first subdivision, which took its name from a large water hole that he called Lake Lucina. General Trading Company, whose principals, D.W. and F.W. Tredinick, founded the Jax Liquor Store chain, donated the land for the park to Duval County in 1961. The County created a tot lot for children, and the City took over its operation following consolidation in 1968. A wooden pavilion and picnic tables were added to the park in 1996.
