This is Surf into Summer’s 19th year teaching campers to master the waves, making it the longest running surf camp on the First Coast. We offer surf camps in both Jacksonville Beach and Ponte Vedra Beach.

The emphasis of Splash Jax Swim School is to teach proper swim techniques while learning basic water safety in a fun, energetic atmosphere. The Splash Jax Swim School staff has been professionally trained to offer your child the latest in teaching and learning. Children are taught in small groups (4:1) which will allow them the ability to learn skills properly. Our number one goal is to teach your child to really swim, increasing their chance of survival in a water emergency. Secondly, we will teach your child to swim well by emphasizing correct competitive swimming techniques (streamline, body roll, bilateral breathing) from the beginning.
With over 30 pools located throughout Jacksonville, there is bound to be one close to you. Divers Supply Swim School teaches the Swim Schools International standardized “Gold Script” curriculum. This proven Curriculum is appropriate for any person of any age and swimming ability. Our program focuses on a combination of water survival skills and swimming techniques. While keeping the lessons interesting and fun for the swimmer, safety is our number one priority.
Our lessons take place year round in our indoor heated pool and climate controlled facility. Your swimmer’s lessons can start or end at anytime with our Perpetual Lessons Program. Your swimmer can progress through their lessons at their pace as enrollment is always open and there are no session start and end dates.
Jax Beach Surf Shop offers both private and group surf lessons along with stand up paddle boarding lessons. For adults and children ages 7 and up (parents must stay with children under 13 years of age). Lessons last 1 hour, 15 minutes and include the use of a soft surf board during the lesson and for the rest of the day, tutorial on how to surf, surfing safety, marine life awareness, rip current awareness, and surfing.

Saltwater Cowgirls offers private and group lessons for all, male and female. Private lessons provide a focused, one-on-one type of learning experience. This is a great way to personalize your training and receive dedicated attention and feedback from an experienced Saltwater Cowgirl instructor.
Private lessons are available to students of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’ve been surfing for years or are hitting the waves for the first time, Saltwater Cowgirls instruction will provide the guidance you’re looking for. Lessons are offered all year and will be scheduled according to favorable surf conditions. Lessons are available Monday – Saturday. We take Sundays off and do not offer lessons.
Group Surf Lessons are great opportunities for birthdays, bachelorette parties, corporate outings and family fun in the sun.

The Florida Surfing Association was created in 2003 as an organized body for surfing within the United States and specifically the State of Florida. Our mission is to further the sport of surfing to our members, their families and throughout the State of Florida.
General surf lessons will teach the basics of surfing from beginner to advanced. We will have one instructor per student. We also recommend a flexible “floating” schedule to maximize your investment as the surf conditions often have a direct impact on the success of the lesson. Usually we can predict the surf and coordinate with the right tide and sand bar about 1-3 days in advance.

Kerry Wick has more than 25 years of competitive coaching experience. She has instructed swimmers with USA Swimming, Florida High School Swimming, and United States Masters Swimming. Kerry is the head coach and owner of Kerry Wick Swim School, a youth program specializing in stroke technique.
Kerry is a United States Masters Swimmer with open water swim victories. She is a member of the 100K World Record Open Water Lake Swim held in Lake Cane, Orlando, Florida, October 12 – 14, 2007. She currently competes in pool and open water races with Holmes Lumberjax Swim Team in Jacksonville, Florida.
The JCA Aquatics Department is committed to the development of swimmers of all ages and skill levels. Swimming is a lifetime activity, focusing on the enjoyment, health benefits and competition. The JCA Aquatics Department offers private swim lessons for all ages, while offering group swim lessons for children. At Little Seals Swim School, we offer one-on-one survival swim lessons to children as young as 8 months old. Babies/infants are taught to roll over and float on their backs. Once they reach a year old (or have been walking for about 6 weeks), they are taught to swim with their face in the water. The children are then taught to sequence the swimming with the floating in order to rest and breathe while swimming and playing in the water. They repeat the swim-float-swim sequence until they reach the steps or side. Once children are fully skilled, they have the opportunity to practice their skills fully clothed for “Silly Swim” lessons. Once lessons are completed, students are encouraged to maintain their skills by attending twice-monthly maintenance lessons (or semi-annual refresher lessons). Introduction to stroke lessons are, also, available for children that are developmentally ready (usually beginning between 4 and 6 years of age). Instructors are trained to present stroke lessons in a fun way that is relatable to young children.

For the survival swimming basic training it takes on average about 5 weeks of one on one lessons Monday-Thursday for 15 minutes a day for little ones to become completely skilled.

Coach Sally’s Swim & Learn is designed to teach swimming and water safety to ages 6 months to adult. The American Red Cross guidelines are the basis for teaching participants to swim independently on top of the water. Safety in and around the water is stressed and taught in a Christian environment.
Group class sizes are limited to four participants to promote hands-on teaching and practice assistance during the lesson. Group classes are one-week 45 minute-session per day, May through mid-August.
