Girl, Let Your Hair Down – Birthday Party Fun at MYDRY Blowout Bar

Thanks to MyDry Blowout Bar for helping us let our hair down and celebrate! All opinions are my own!

I love birthdays. I love the cake, the ice cream, the cute swoon-worthy Pinterest-inspired decorations, but birthday party planning for kids? It’s overwhelming to me. Our house is small. My kids birthdays are in the winter (granted it’s Florida winter, but we can’t do pool parties or park parties in the event we get a cold snap, right?) My daughter was constantly talking about her fifth birthday since the day after she turned four and I had been avoiding the topic and the planning as well. Five seemed like a “milestone” to her (and sniff, sniff, us!) and I wanted to do something “big girl” for her and the sweet friends she wanted to celebrate with.

Cuties + curls for days.

Enter MYDRY Blowout Bar! After enjoying a little pampering at the new standalone blow-dry bar myself and meeting owner and fellow mom, Heather, who was also planning a birthday party for her young daughter and launching her party packages, I knew this would be a perfect idea. And not to mention easy for this mama! We worked with Jeanette, the MYDRY manager, to set up our Princess Party package and found a date that worked. Every party is a 2-hour private party, so you have the whole place to yourselves and prices vary based on the day of the week. See here for full party package details and pricing options.

Hair, makeup, nails, crafts – oh my! The MYDRY staff pampers and delights.

The party includes everything: dry hair styling (oh-so-cute braids, curls, up-dos and even colored hairspray!), fingernail polish, princess make-up and a cute design-your-own bracelet craft! MYDRY also provides donuts and fruit, sparkling lemonade and mimosas for mom as part of the party package (yes, please!) They even accommodated my daughter’s request for sprinkled donuts and since our party was in the morning, we added a candle and ta-da, that served as our cake! Other than a few decorations and favors I couldn’t pass up in the Target dollar section (which they set up for me and also provided some of their own), this party was a dream – our little girl got to hang with her besties and enjoy getting all dolled up, and I got to sit back, relax and enjoy the fun with my fellow mom friends. Oh and the cleanup? We headed home to a clean house and a happy girl.

MYDRY provides snacks & sips, just bring the party-goers!

And MYDRY parties are not just for the little princesses! MYDRY offers packages for tweens and teens, bridal parties, girls night out and they will also help organize and host special events like baby showers, business meetings, pre-prom styling, engagement parties and more.

MYDRY is also offering a special offer for JMB READERS: For a limited time, mention JMB when booking a party package and receive 10% off! Call 904-372-9590 or visit their website to book today!

Looking for an option for a smaller group? MYDRY will accommodate most any option! JMB Co-Owner Megan choose a smaller more intimate birthday experience treating her 7-year old daughter, her bestie and her bestie’s mom to a pre-evening blowout before heading out to dinner and a night stay at the Hotel Palms!

Enjoying her Instax mini and fun with her beautified-besties, memories she’ll treasure.

Whether you are planning a party or just want some much-deserved pampering for yourself, I highly recommend MYDRY Blowout Bar. And did I mention they have a cute small, boutique with a selection of beachy-clothing and accessories? They truly want to create an amazing experience for customers and make it easy for you to enjoy yourself.
