Why Moms Need Costco in Their Life

Thank you, Costco for sponsoring this post and partnering with Jacksonville Moms Blog & City Moms Blog Network.

For as long as I can remember, I have been a Costco member. It’s where I buy my flowers for Autumn decorating, my birthday cakes for special occasions and the wine for Thanksgiving. It is also my go-to place for a cheap (yes, very cheap) lunch. Not shopping at Costco yet? Here are the top reasons Costco is perfect for families, especially Moms.

Kirkland Signature products are rated higher than most leading brands.

Don’t believe me? I dare you to taste Grey Goose Vodka and Kirkland Signature Brand Vodka and tell me you taste a difference. Yes- the Kirkland Signature products are that good.

Free demos and samples on a daily basis.

Anyone with hangry toddlers knows Costco is the place to go. Not only do they have big roomy shopping carts (perfect for an impromptu nap) they also have employees giving out free samples every day (not just on weekends)! That leads me into my next reason to love Costco…

Costco has the cheapest lunch in town.

In 2012, Costco sold over 109 million of their 1/4 lb all-beef hot dog and 20 oz soda combos. That’s no surprise to me at all! It is delicious and a kid-favorite. Hot dogs not your thing? They have pizzas, sandwiches, and salads, too! Their pizza is amazing and only $1.99 a slice (or $9.99 for a whole pie!). It is an incredible value–and this is just the food court! Take a peek at their pre-made foods, and you will find $4.99 rotisserie chickens, heat and serve beef enchiladas, chicken alfredo, mac & cheese and much more!

Costco is leading the nation in organic sales.

From spinach to maple syrup, Costco has an incredible selection of organic merchandise. On most products, the organic equivalent is actually cheaper here than at any other retailer. It is possible to shop all organic at Costco without breaking the bank!

Costco consistently has the lowest price on prescriptions.

A 2013 Consumer Reports study concluded that Costco had the best prices overall, beating out larger stores like Walgreens and independent pharmacies. Don’t believe me? You can check a prescription drug price right here!

It’s not just a store–it’s a Wholesale Club!

Costco offers many services in and outside of the warehouse, such as Auto Buying, Check Printing, Travel and Car Rentals, Insurance, Mortgage Financing, Water Delivery, Leaf Guard, Flooring and Windows and Identity Protection.

Don’t buy your gift cards anywhere but Costco.

Where else can you purchase a gift card for less than its value?! Costco, of course! They have everything from restaurants, spas to movie ticket gift cards, usually for $79 for $100 worth of goods/services. I almost forgot to mention the tickets for attractions. We purchased our Legoland tickets from Costco last year and saved about $20 per ticket!

Ain’t no party like a Costco Party.

Yes, we are having a JMB party at Costco on November 4, but the party I’m talking about is the party YOU are planning! Whether for a birthday, holiday party, business gathering or a surprise party for your spouse, Costco is your party headquarters. Costco’s half sheet cake is amazing and only $18.99! (That size cake at Publix will cost you almost $60!) Let’s talk alcohol (again). Costco is the largest wine retailer in the United States. With that kind of inventory, their prices are extremely competitive. Now decorations. My go-to party decorations are flowers. As an Event Coordinator, I have worked with bulk flowers from Costco, and I am consistently impressed with the gorgeous flowers they deliver. Even if you are not planning a large event, their bouquet of two dozen roses in store is only $16.99 every day.

Don't you know someone who needs a bouquet?

The Costco Guarantee speaks for itself.

This is why I love Costco so much. They offer a 100-percent member satisfaction guarantee and will refund your membership if at any time you are are not satisfied. It is refreshing to have a company stand behind their products in that way. That level of confidence makes me feel as though I am receiving the best value for my money at Costco.

I’m just going to leave it right here.
