If you’re like me, you have already been thinking about how to get back into shape after the holidays. Maybe you’ve even started going for long walks and short jogs to beat your New Years resolution to the punch. Or maybe, you’ve just decided that January is THE perfect time to get those legs moving again.
Jacksonville Moms Blog loves local celebrity, olympic gymnast and Mom, Shannon Miller (did you know the 7-time olympic medalist lives right here in Jax?), and we love the Shannon Miller Foundation and it’s dedication to fighting child obesity. If you haven’t been to the Shannon Miller Lifestyle website, you should defintiely check it out. It is an awesome resource for health and fitness information.
Team Fit Future
Beginning January 21st, the Shannon Miller Foundation will begin a 12 week walking and running program to help moms get fit. Team Fit Future is a great way to get healthy after the holidays! Whether you are a walker, beginning runner or advanced runner, Team Fit Future is a great program to stay active, meet some great people and support a great cause (all proceeds to the Shannon Miller Foundation go to the fight against childhood obesity through In-School Running Clubs right here in Jacksonville)!
