JMB Summer Park Hop: Clarke House Park (School Supply Fundraiser for Metro Kids Konnection)

ParkHopClarkeHouse

Join us Tuesday, July 19 from 9-11am at Clarke House Park!

Clarke House Park, located in Orange Park at 1047 Kingsley Avenue, is a wonderful location for a summer play date! This unique park features a shaded community built wooden playground beneath a canopy of live oak trees, a covered pavilion, walking trails, butterfly garden, and more. The playground boasts a giant wooden airplane, a wooden ship for kids to climb on and a puppet theater with a separate area for young children.

We are excited to have Weaver and Stratton Pediatric Dentistry join us for this park hop. Weaver and Stratton have been serving the infants, children and teenagers of the Orange Park and Jacksonville areas for over 30 years. Their zoo-themed offices are designed to provide a fun atmosphere for the children, and they strive to make your family feel at ease from the moment you arrive at their office. Their pediatric dentists, orthodontist, and wonderful staff use pleasant, non-frightening, simple words to describe your child’s dental visits and treatment.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer will also join Jacksonville Moms Blog at Clarke House for this park hop. They are looking for mothers and their families, as well as family-focused companies to join their Strides With Strollers Challenge. This walk, scheduled for Saturday, October 22nd at Hemming Park, is a 5K awareness and fundraising event to support breast cancer research, education, and patient support programs in our community.

This Park Hop will be a school supply fundraiser for Metro Kids Konnection Jacksonville. Please bring new school supplies to donate, we will be collecting and delivering them to the Jacksonville office. They are in need of the following supplies: backpacks, loose-leaf paper, crayons, composition books, colored pencils, rulers, markers, pencils, pens, spiral notebooks, folders, 3-ring binders, tissues, scissors, glue sticks.

Metro Kids Konnection provides many opportunities for children, teens, and adults to get involved and learn, all in a positive environment. These opportunities are facilitated through well-designed and staffed programs. They offer After-School Programs, Summer Camp, Saturday Reading Programs, Preschool & VPK, as well as Student Success & Drop Back-In Programs.
