As we wrap up the craziness that has been 2021, we continue to be amazed and humbled at how much Jacksonville Mom has grown and evolved over the years, even during an ongoing pandemic. But most of all, we are so very thankful to you, our readers, for your consistent support. Jacksonville Mom has always been, and will always be, for YOU.
That said, we wanted to share our top 10 most-read blog posts from this year along with a few honorable mentions. Whether or not you really want to relive the year, perhaps you can look back and laugh… or cry. Or heck, at least get some good ideas for local parks and hiking trails. Happy reading!
Jacksonville Mom Top 10!
“Seriously, what is going on?! Gen Z’s fashion goals are apparently to look like the dowdy moms of 1993 had a baby with the acid-tripping hippies from 1972. Y’all. This is not a good look! Trust us, we know.”
“Great Wolf Lodge offers something different for the kids, especially if you have already gone to all of the waterparks in Orlando. This one is indoors, so you don’t have to worry about rain and lightning messing up your waterpark fun!”
“It is not easy to write about Washington Oaks Gardens State Park largely due to how magnificent and beautiful it is. It would be best if you experienced being there to see it, smell it, and re-energize your body and soul.”
“It’s hard to keep up with the latest baby gadgets that mamas may need in order to make their lives easier. By all means, default to their baby registry, but if you need some additional ideas, here are a few new-mom favorites!”
“For many of us who have heard words like ‘delayed’ as an excuse to limit access to things like poetry and literature, Amanda Gorman’s words serve as salve and sharpen our resolve. A resolve to ensure that we don’t allow delayed to mean deterred. There are no platitudes in her prose.”
“We drove through the little town of Marianna, nicknamed ‘the City of Southern Charm.’ Just on the outskirts is Florida Caverns State Park, Florida’s only state park with air-filled caves accessible to the public.”
“My stomach is a saggy, stretch mark-ridden war zone, and my boobs (if I can even call them that) are flappy bags of deflated skin. While I am appreciative of all my body has given me, I’m over it. I’ve worked really hard to lose weight and gain muscle, and I’m ready to Marie Kondo my body if you will. Thank it for the joy it has brought, but exchange it for a new and improved one to bring me a different sort of joy.” Learn more about Kacey’s decision and why she chose Ponte Vedra Plastic Surgery.
