Fixing the Fashion Frump

As much attention as I paid to detail before I had children, admittedly after my first son was born, it was a bit difficult for me to get my fashion “groove” back. After all, who’s thinking about statement pieces or a pop of color when you’re changing diapers or chasing around a toddler all day. But after several months living in sweats and tees, I was at least aware of the rut I had fallen into–and I didn’t like it one bit. It got so bad that I actually consulted a stylist friend of mine who helped me refresh my closet. She also reminded me of simple ways to look pulled together and take years off at the same time…like pulling my hair up in a high bun, wearing a bright bold lip color or choosing a pair of large hoop earrings on a casual play day.

Although my darling boys are now 7 and 4, the everyday struggle is still real! The latest style solution of my own? Mox Shoes – the most adorable jellies – new and improved from back in the day! I was super excited to be introduced to Mox recently and am now absolutely addicted, especially with all of the fun colors to choose from. They make me look effortlessly on trend, paired with everything from a classic white tee to a pair of slim fit business slacks. Confession…I’m totally a heels girl. I literally refer to myself as “a professional” when it comes to wearing high heels! But for an everyday practical sense of style and (more importantly) comfort that comes with Mox jellies, they’re definitely keepers!

Play Date to Hot Date

I love the versatility they offer. From a family day at the beach to a play date, to a sassy “cute-casual” afternoon lunch with my hubby–they work! I also found them to be the perfect travel shoe-making airport security a breeze. Mox are made from 100% man-made rubber, so they are light and breathable. They’ve been the ideal summer transition shoe from my 5-inch heels at the office as I head to camp pickup at the end of my day!

Made by Mom

Mox was originally started by a stay-at-home mom in Australia in 2011. Mox Shoes USA was born in the Spring of 2015 when two California-based stay-at-home moms (and shoe lovers) approached the company about an expansion opportunity. And I’m so glad they did…designed for women from all walks of life, they have become my #1 summer style crush (that I may just carry right into fall)!
