Do consecutive rainy days or crummy weather have you feeling the blues? Are the kiddos getting antsy and need to release all of the pent-up energy? Jacksonville has a plethora of incredible indoor play spaces available to you and your family. This list will have you exploring all of the best spots for some fun, engaging indoor activities!<\/p>\n

Call or check ahead on their websites for hours and specials. And don’t forget your socks for many of these places!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Best Indoor Play Spaces for Littles & Big Kids<\/h3>\n

Altitude Trampoline Park (Jacksonville Beach):<\/strong> Located in Jax Beach, Altitude<\/a> offers tons of trampolines, a toddler-friendly area, a dodge ball spot, trampoline basketball, and a few arcade games. Their monthly membership is super affordable and a must, especially during the summer!<\/p>\n

Beaches Rock Gym (Jacksonville Beach):<\/strong> Beaches Rock Gym<\/a> offers indoor rock climbing for kids of all ages.<\/p>\n

Bravoz Family Entertainment Center (Durbin Crossing):<\/strong> Bravoz<\/a> is full of trampolines for your kids to bounce away. Special shoes and helmets are required and provided. For those who don’t want to bounce, they have laser tag, separate ninja courses for toddlers and big kids, archery tag, and an arcade to keep you entertained! We’ve only tried the trampolines but will be rushing back to try archery tag with the older kids.<\/p>\n

The Edge Rock Gym (Southside):<\/strong> The Edge Rock Gym<\/a> is a fun indoor rock climbing gym where kids can test their climbing abilities. They offer memberships, but one-day passes are also available.<\/p>\n

Flight Adventure Park (Baymeadows):<\/strong>\u00a0Calling all <\/span>thrill-seekers! If you love to move and seek adventure at every turn, you\u2019re in for a treat at Flight<\/a>. Visit and see why locals call it the best bounce place in Jacksonville, complete with trampolines, a trapeze, a foam pit, inflatables, an arcade, and more. They also offer a separate jump area for littles. <\/span>Get ready for hours of sky-high fun and excitement right here \u2014 their monthly memberships are also great!<\/span><\/p>\n

Kids Empire (Orange Park):<\/strong> New to Jacksonville, Kids Empire<\/a> is a massive play space featuring mazes, obstacle courses, slides, climbing structures, building blocks, ride-on toys, and a safe space for toddlers to play, too. Exploring, climbing, and playing never looked so fun! There are tons of tables for the adults and an indoor cafe with the cutest little snack boxes for kids. Worth noting: The claw machines give you 20 tries to win! And if you’re lucky, Huggy the blue dragon may even pay a visit.<\/p>\n

My Gym (Mandarin):<\/strong>\u00a0My Gym<\/a> offers classes from infant to 13 years old to keep your kids moving! We are always impressed with the attentiveness of their staff and their ability to engage even the shyest kids! Membership is required, but typically your first class is free!<\/p>\n

O2B Kids (Mandarin, St. Johns, Fleming Island): <\/strong>O2B Kids<\/a> has everything and great perks for members, but they also offer general admission. Even if you are not a member, you can come and play anytime! Children and families can engage in child-directed play in a safe and fun environment. Be sure to check out the Big Toy climbing structure, the Building Things area, Costume Corner, or Play Kitchen. Children 0 to 3 years old can explore the special Toddler Play Zone.<\/p>\n

Pump It Up (Southside):<\/strong> Known for its inflatables, Pump It Up<\/a> is a great place to burn some energy running from slide to slide, and there is something fun for all ages. Toddlers will love the Imagination Playground, and big kids will enjoy the obstacle courses and slides. Also great for birthday parties!<\/p>\n

Beach Bowl (Jacksonville Beach):<\/strong> The newly renovated Beach Bowl<\/a> offers 24 lanes, VIP party rooms, three full bars, a restaurant serving up all of your favorites, an arcade with more than 30 games, and a second-floor patio. This is a Jacksonville Mom favorite!<\/p>\n

More Cheap & Easy Fun<\/h3>\n

Avenues Mall (Southside):<\/strong> Highlights of the Avenues Mall<\/a> are the soft play area (free) and the train ride (about $3). Always a nice bonus is the number of elevators and escalators that provide entertainment for all of my kids. The soft play area is very small and limited but can usually last us about 30 minutes or an hour.<\/p>\n

Barnes and Noble (St. Johns Town Center): <\/strong>The kids section at the St. John’s Town Center Barnes & Noble<\/a> has a small play area, events, and storytime on select days. When you’re done, head to the small kids’ play area by Dick’s Sporting Goods.<\/p>\n

Chick-fil-A (various locations):<\/strong> The play places at Chick-fil-A<\/a> are usually pretty clean, fun, and safe, and it’s one of the best places actually to squeeze in a conversation with another mom.<\/p>\n

Chuck E. Cheese (Regency, Southside, Orange Park):<\/strong> No summer of ours is complete without a trip to see the local mouse at Chuck E. Cheese<\/a>. You can keep your visit cheap if sign up for their email club, use coupons, and limit the number of tokens per kid.<\/p>\n

Local Libraries (various locations):<\/strong> More than just books, our libraries offer puzzles and computers with educational games, and the weekly storytime is a must for littles, even on a sunny day! Check out Duval<\/a>, Clay<\/a>, and St. John’s<\/a>\u00a0library websites\u00a0and plan a\u00a0visit to\u00a0your local library, too.<\/p>\n
