Meg is a working mom of four and an avid community volunteer. She has worked in corporate communications and media relations for more than 18 years, for a Fortune 500 company as well as a non-profit. She took some time off to enjoy life as a stay at home mom after the birth of her first child in 2008. Her sweet, introverted daughter, was excited to welcome her baby brother in 2013, and then boy/girl twins joined the family in 2016. Meg finds being an “office mama” a constant balancing act and never-ending challenge but enjoys the opportunities it offers her for personal growth. A Virginia girl at heart, she loves Florida’s warm weather, the great quality of life Jacksonville offers her family.

The Nights I Question All My Life Choices

Our fish died. The night we came home to find it dead on the bottom of the bowl it was pouring rain. I unpacked four hungry, cranky, from-camp-and-daycare kids from the car along with...

The Magic of a Monogram

I daydreamed for years about what to name my children. (My favorite character from the Brady Bunch, Cindy, became a no-go-name for me in fourth grade when the meanest girl at summer camp was...

An Ode to 10 Years of Diaper Changing

I changed my first child's diaper in 2008, and in 2019 I will change my last diaper. With four kids (the last two are twins) that's — holy moses —about 10 years of diaper...

Quick Tips to Get Your Toddler to Eat

As adorable as they are, and toddlerhood is my favorite stage, toddlers can also be a handful. With a new will of their own, the ability to say, "No," and definite likes and dislikes,...

The Biggest Thing I Did Today

I didn't make thousands of dollars today. There was no giant merger I facilitated, no multimillion dollar trial that I won. I wasn't on TV tonight and won't be in the newspaper tomorrow. I...

The Worst Thing My Husband Ever Said to Me

We all have those moments in our marriages where if we said what we are actually thinking it would be, well, game over. Heavily pregnant with our first baby and over-the-top hormonal, I sat...
