In the midst of all of the holiday madness, the Jacksonville Moms Blog team took some time off for an amazing moms night out at Pinot’s Palette! Located at the St. John’s Town Center, Pinot’s Palette was the perfect place for our get together, living up to their motto of “Paint. Drink. Have fun.”
We started the night by picking up a few bottles of wine from Cooper’s Hawk Winery. We had a variety of bottles, including a unique almond sparkling wine and their cabernet sauvignon, which were both delightful.
Since Opening in 2005, Cooper’s Hawk has received over 300 wine awards from various local, national, and international wine competitions, and after trying a few glasses, I know why they keep winning awards! Pinot’s Palette provided the glasses, wine opener, and wine cooler filled with ice, making it so easy for us to show up and enjoy!
At Pinot’s Palette, you bring your own drinks and snacks, and since this was our night off, we decided to take a break from cooking, too. We used the awesome curbside takeout service from BJ’s Brewhouse to pick up delicious pizzas for our team!
As a mom, I appreciate any time I don’t have to get out of the car and deal with waiting in line. When you use BJ’s curbside takeout service, you just call ahead or order online, park and a team member brings your order right to your car, making this such a great option when you have your kids in the car and just can’t deal with unbuckling those car seats one more time.
Or course, a moms night out is not complete without something sweet, so we picked up some of our favorites – cupcakes from Sweet By Holly! Their mini cupcakes let you taste a variety of the more than 30 gourmet flavors offered, and I’m pretty sure given enough time and wine, I could manage to sample all 30! These cupcakes tasted as amazing as they looked and were the perfect addition to our night.
After enjoying all of the yummy food and drinks, it was time to get started on our paintings. I have very little artistic talent–my four-year-old draws better than I do –so I was a little anxious about how mine would turn out. The staff at Pinot’s is so relaxed and encouraging, making the entire process so much fun. They walk you through every step, all of the supplies are provided and set-up for you, and I got to make a big mess that I didn’t have to clean up! I never felt rushed, and we had plenty of time to chat, laugh, and check out each other’s work along the way.
This was my first time at Pinot’s Palette, but I will definitely be back. They offer private events for larger groups, or you can check out their calendar online and make a reservation for a painting of your choice. I love being able to bring in my own food and drinks, but not having to deal with glassware, napkins or utensils. Having so many things taken care of for us allowed to focus on each other, having a great time, and creating our own piece of art! Pinot’s also offers Mommy and Me classes, where you and your little one can each paint a piece together!
To top off such a fun evening, the awesome boss ladies of JMB gave each of us a goodie bag filled with some fantastic gifts from local stores. This eloquently hilarious notebook form Sailors Siren is my new favorite place to keep my to do list and brings a smile to my face every time I pull it out of my purse. We also received zipper bags made from Fish Lips stylish, geometric patterns, and each person received a unique design that perfectly matched their personality. The product samples from Ponte Vedra Platic Surgery are great for trying out new products, and a ticket to Jax Illuminations made everyone in my family happy as it is one of our favorite family holiday traditions. All of these items make great last minute Christmas gift ideas!
