I searched for a good pediatrician and my OB/GYN recommended Starfish…I am forever grateful she did!!! Dr. Maria and Dr. G are the most caring and patient doctors I’ve ever met, and I work in the hospital so I see my fair share. They take their time with my daughter every single time they see us and they also take their time to get to know the parents- and they actually remember! Today Dr. Maria spent 10 minutes coloring with my 18 month old and held her hand as she walked with him up and down the hallway just because she wanted to. I moved 30 minutes away, but I will continue to make the drive until my daughter is 18.
Also big plus is Dr. G is more into natural remedies and routes before going straight to antibiotics. She even gave me a list of natural things to help increase my milk production while breast feeding. So thankful for these caring, informative, and thorough doctors.
This is one of the few places where you can go and see a real Dr for your kid. Nice, professional and friendly staff. I will highly recommend this office to any one with kids, I will never take my kid to other place, even if I have to drive 30 minutes like I do now.
Well done Guys you are amazing!
My son has special needs and we have been to many doctors over the past 18 years. Dr. Maria has worked well with me and my autistic son who generally doesn’t care for or trust doctors. We have been able to get him to cooperate and allow a more complete exam than anywhere else. I can generally get an appointment quickly and seldom wait for more than 15 minutes to see the doctor – a big deal when you have an autistic child. There was a period where Dr. Maria was out of the office (vacation I assume) and things were difficult; and they do speak Spanish but it is probably because it is their first language and easier for them to conduct business that way. I have never called a doctors office before and had the doctor get on the phone with me right then but that is exactly what happened today when I spoke to Dr. Maria. I’m very happy with him and his office and my son is too!
Today was our LAST visit to Starfish! No DOCTOR here to be seen, just a nurse….Only 1 child seen when I made an appt for 2! Attitude at the desk, WHICH I’ve SEEN BEFORE. SPANISH conversation amongst employees to hide their comments! It’s 12:00…They can’t wait to go to lunch! No wonder it’s always so quiet here. Any Dr’s office so close to an elementary school and several huge communities should have more patients than this. I finally realize why they don’t. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for medical attention. Good Luck!
