SHOP SWEETEES X JACKSONVILLE MOM
When we had the idea last spring to come up with a Jacksonville-based line of moms’ tees, partnering with Sweetees was a match made in mom heaven. The mom-founded company has been around since 2015, and once you see her collections, you’ll fall in love pretty quickly (we did). From mental health awareness to mommy-and-me, game day to spooky season, there’s a tee for every personality and we are so here for it.
Jacksonville Mom co-founder Megan Kilis says about the partnership, “We shared our ideas, some inspo pics, and one amazing hand-sketched drawing on notebook paper for the DUUUVAL MOTHER shirt, and a collab was born!”

Sweetees founder Sarah Clarke grew up right here in Jacksonville, and her love for Duval runs deep. Prior to launching the T-shirt company, she was a hairstylist and hung up her shears to be a stay-at-home mom to her oldest daughter. She shares, “Being a stay-at-home mom was so incredibly rewarding, but I still felt like I was missing something. I gave every ounce of myself to her (as all mamas do), and I just needed something for me. I wanted a challenge, a creative outlet — and I happened to be obsessed with graphic tees. So, with all of that said, Sweetees was born.”
Today, Sarah shares a large, wild, and crazy blended family with her husband, Joe. She has two daughters, ages 7 and 11, and three bonus boys, ages 18, 23 and 25. And, we can’t forget her two Golden Retriever fur babies, Duncan and Beau.

Sarah designs many of the graphics herself but also buys some and outsources others. Read on for more about Sarah, Sweetees, and our exciting partnership!
How would you describe your company to someone who just met you?
I would describe Sweetees as fun, feminine, empowering, sweet, sassy, and a whole lot of bad-assy.
What are you most proud of regarding your business?
In the beginning, probably proving people wrong. *insert hysterical laugh here* But seriously, I’m really proud of the ways I have been able to give back by having my own business. Over the years, I’ve donated to many charities and causes, including Guide Dogs for the Blind, Feeding America, Teachers Pay Teachers, The Trevor Project, the Jacksonville Humane Society, and lots more. It brings me a lot of joy to be able to give back, and that would not be possible without Sweetees. I’m also proud of myself which is honestly difficult to say. Being a business owner is not for the weak, and I am proud of myself for sticking in there because there were MANY times when I *almost* really thought about throwing in the towel.

What has been the biggest challenge?
I think the biggest challenge for me personally would probably be time management and knowing when to shut it off. When you’ve poured so much of yourself into something, it can be hard to pull yourself away from it. It’s definitely something I’m working on though.
Do you have a favorite shirt that stands out?
Oh, that’s a hard one… but, I think I would have to say our On My Husband’s Last Nerve tee.

What did you think when Jacksonville Mom approached you about collaborating?
I was freakin’ thrilled! I have always wanted to work with y’all, and I was ecstatic to collaborate!
What do you love most about the Sweetees x Jacksonville Mom collab? Do you have a favorite shirt?
What’s not to love? Two female-founded businesses run by moms, for moms. I feel like it was meant to be. If I had to pick a favorite shirt from the collection it would have to be the Duuuval Mother tee. #gojags
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Never give up on your dreams, and never give up on yourself. It’s okay to be in the depths of motherhood and still feel like you need something else. If you have something you’re passionate about and you want to do it, just do it. Block out the nay-sayers, put your head down, and get to work. Believe in yourself because you absolutely can do it.
The Sweetees x Jacksonville Mom collection is on sale now — super soft, cute graphics, reasonably priced… what’s not to love?
