In February 2016, firefighter Chris Swary was killed in a car accident, leaving behind his fiancé Lindsay and daughters Hailey and Brooklyn. Chris and Hailey enjoyed running together in fun runs. The Daddy’s Girl Tutu 2k and Family 5k was their favorite! Created in 2014 by Eden Kendall’s Easy Peasy Kids Fitness Foundation, the run includes a 2k (1 mile) run and a 5k (3.1 mile) run.

Tutu 2kDaddies and daughters are encouraged to wear tutus. Moms and brothers are superheroes! The Easy Peasy Kids Fitness Foundation is proud to announce that moving forward this event will be The Chris Swary Tutu2k and 5k and that proceeds raised will be used to provide for the Swary girls in their daddy’s absence. Chris and Lindsay fostered several children and Lindsay plans to continue to do so. To honor Chris and Lindsay’s passion for helping children, one hundred race entries will be offered for free and/or greatly reduced prices to area children in the foster care system.

This is a run or walk for EVERYONE!

The tutu2k is also known as the Daddy’s Girl TuTu 2k (one mile)–Tutu’s mandatory for the dads–tutus or superhero costumes for moms , girls, or boys!
