Episcopal Children’s Services offers the Early Head Start and Head Start Programs. Early Head Start is for pregnant mothers and children birth to 3. Head Start is for children ages 3 to 5. The programs are free for children of families with low incomes. It provides early learning in home-based or center-based settings. The program focuses on strengthening children’s readiness for school by increasing parental knowledge of children’s growth and development. The program provides inclusive services in the areas of health, mental health, disabilities, and parent and community engagement. All children within the program are screened for developmental progress, health, dental, vision, and hearing.

The mission of Global Outreach Charter Academy is to deliver a first-class academic program that offers a unique foreign language and multicultural curriculum, empowering students to be global leaders of tomorrow.

The Global Outreach Charter Academy at Intercoastal administration team is working hard to truly deliver on our promise and prepare students for global opportunities in leadership positions. To that end, the GOCA team has created a plethora of unique programs, such as world travel, foreign exchange, global visitors program, and more.

Shining Bright Preschool and Arts provides an enriched and diverse learning environment for all students. Founded in 2000, our Preschool is located in Jacksonville and reflects the various backgrounds and cultures of the area.

We offer a faith-based bilingual education where we provide countless opportunities to acquire Spanish and biblical learning in their every day activities!

Children who attend our 3’s and 4’s classroom as well as our VPK classroom must be fully potty-trained! We do accept ELC school-readiness and VPK Vouchers!

Clients can literally come and go and not worry about what their hair or make up looks like before or after their Massage. We are in the works of getting a infrared sauna as well. Our beautiful patio on Goodbyes Creek is always a go to for a few minutes of nature and digress from the hectic world. Our prices are also affordable with a variety of other specialties.

Playgarden Prep Online is an online preschool program offering various enrollment plans for children ages 2 to 4. Watch Daily Lesson videos made by our certified, in-person Playgarden Prep teachers, and complete custom worksheets and activities to go along with the lesson of the day! Get daily live Zoom classes in fun and engaging subjects like Music, Cooking, Movement, Storytime, and Art. Alive CU provides free financial literacy tools available on their website under youth & teens. Every Fall they provide a free 6 week virtual Financial Literacy Bootcamp geared towards middle-high school aged students covering a range of topics from basic checking account skills, to the importance of savings, a deep dive into credit, and all the way up to investing and retirement. For the moms, Alive provides free one-on-one Financial Wellness Coaching with an accredited financial counselor who guides and supports you no matter where you are on your financial wellness journey. Recently, Alive partnered with High School 9:12 and Communities in Schools bringing the Financial Literacy Bootcamp to children in need during the Communities in Schools Summer Camps!

Anchored Reading focuses on developing pre-literacy skills, supporting students with learning disabilities, and improving literacy skills for all young readers through individualized, virtual instruction and intervention with a licensed reading specialist.

At Purposeful Play, we believe in creating a joyful and engaging learning environment where children can explore and discover through play. We use play-based methodologies to make learning interactive and meaningful, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and social skills. We encourage a growth mindset, where mistakes are seen as opportunities for learning and growth. At Purposeful Play, we aim to nurture a lifelong love for learning and empower children with the skills they need for academic success and emotional well-being.

Timucuan Parks Foundation’s Spring Self-Guided Volunteer Cleanup Program is now open to students and community members. From now through the end of June 2024, anyone can pick up litter at Jacksonville’s wilderness parks and preserves and earn two hours of community service. To participate, visit timucuanparks.org/parks to choose one of the many parks around Jacksonville and spend at least one and a half hours cleaning up. Parks not listed on the site are also eligible for clean-up events. Ask friends and/or family to join you and dress appropriately in breathable clothes that can get dirty, closed-toe shoes, and a hat. Bring insect repellent, sunscreen, water and a snack, and also trash bags, protective gloves, and a camera to document the work. Do not pick up anything sharp or pointy or any dead animals and the trash bags should be filled about half or three-quarters of the way to allow for easy lifting and tying.

The work must be documented through photographs. Participants should take before and after selfies, pictures of those working alongside them, and a final snapshot with the trash bags. When finished cleaning up, place the trash bags in or around a park trash receptacle or take them to throw away in a trash receptacle if none are available at the park. Email the photographs to [email protected] or share the photos and park location on social media using #tpfcleanup or @timucuanparks. Also, fill out the parks cleanup form which can be found at https://www.timucuanparks.org/self-guided/. An email confirmation of the two hours of community service hours will be sent to participants.
