The JU Soccer Academy Spring Break Camp provides an excellent opportunity for all players from ages 6-13, to be instructed by the Jacksonville University men’s soccer
staff and players. The participants will be evaluated in all phases of the game: Technique, Tactical Awareness, Intelligence, Speed of Play, & Personality. Campers will
also enjoy competitive games that will be played during camp. This camp is designed to accommodate players of all skill sets, no matter what skill level they may be at.
The Jacksonville Children’s Chorus is excited to announce our third annual choral festival and summer day camp, River City Choral Festival and Day Camp. A fun-filled week of music, choral singing, choreography/dance, games, swimming, field trips, and performances – and lots of fun times and new friends!
A summer day camp is available to rising sixth through twelfth grade singers from 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Camp designed for treble voices: sopranos and altos only; no changed (tenor or bass) voices.
Our conductor for the festival will be Melissa Keylock of the San Diego North Coast Singers.
The Jacksonville Children’s Chorus is excited to announce our third annual festival and summer day camp, River City Choral Festival & Piano Keyboard Day Camp – A fun-filled week of music, beginning piano keyboard skills, games, swimming, sight-reading notes and rhythms, field trips and an end-of-week performance – and lots of new friends! The Piano Keyboard Camp will take place alongside the River City Choral Festival and Camp. Students can select to participate in the Choral Festival and Camp or the Piano Keyboard Camp track and still take advantage of the field trips and group activities. The day sessions will be 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Singers will experience a balanced schedule of both instructional and recreational activities throughout the week. Sessions will focus on developing musicianship, sight-reading notes and rhythms, and developing beginning piano skills by experienced and qualified JCC instructors. Team activities will help develop camaraderie, social equality, and love of mankind.
Kids Connect is a therapeutic summer camp that is geared towards improving both sensory and emotional regulation, language development, and socialization with an additional emphasis on feeding challenges. The camp is run by one speech- language pathologist and one occupational therapist who have extensive training and experience with children who face developmental challenges. Therapists use the Greenspan Floortime approach to facilitate social emotional skills that may be impacting your child’s ability to connect with others as well as participate in daily activities.
This is a 3 week, half day camp held Monday – Thursday. Our Starfish Group (2yrs-4yrs) will be from 9am-12pm and our Pelican Group (5yrs-8yrs) will be from 1pm-4pm. Please contact us for more information on costs and camp schedule of the day.
Orlando Ballet School in partnership with the Florida Ballet offers students small class sizes and an opportunity to intensely focus on their technique training. Faculty includes Orlando Ballet School and Florida Ballet faculty as well as guest teachers.
A fun and informative 3-day summer jazz camp for instrumentalists and vocalists, 9th grade through adult ages, from basic skill levels to pro. Excellent back-to-school prep for students with band and vocal courses in the fall, for music instructors seeking helpful stylistic tools for teaching jazz, and for adults to advance their skills in performing jazz, from the novice to pro levels. The camp ends with a Camper / Faculty Showcase Concert the day after camp – Invite all your family and friends!
Men’s Classical Intensive
Daily Men’s Technique Class, Pas de Deux, Variations, Pilates, Weight Training for Dancers
This one-week intensive workshop will be taught by male teachers working on the particular requirements for the male ballet dancer. The workshop will include daily technique class, variations/repertory, pas de deux, contemporary, and cross-training for dancers.
Ages 14 and above with strong ballet background.
Women’s Classical Intensive
Daily Technique Class, Pointe Class, Variations/Repertory, Pas de Deux, Pilates
This one-week intensive workshop will be focusing on the particular requirements to train a professional female dancer; Pointe, Pas de Deux, Contemporary, Variations/Repertory, and cross-training for ballet dancers.
Ages 14 and above. Advanced ballet technique and strong pointe work required.
For ages 4-14, during weekly sessions over breaks, campers have fun with new friends as they create unique works of art and explore the galleries. Experienced art educators teach a variety of media and skills through creative art-making while providing the contemporary art history context for each project. This year we are excited to announce that we have MOCA Summer Art Camp Scholarships thanks to a generous donation from the Win Gartner Memorial Fund. Scholarships are available for one session per camper only and cover 100% of registration and extended day fees. Low-income families and/or families who have undergone recent financial hardship are eligible, and there is a limit of two scholarships per household (one per camper). Applications must be submitted no later than May 1. Submitting this application does not guarantee your child a session at Summer Art Camp. All submitted information is confidential and will be seen only by the scholarship review committee. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by email no later than May 10. Intro to Redstone Logic in Minecraft is a fun coding camp that introduces kids to redstone, an element used for mechanical and electrical programming in Minecraft. They will learn how redstone works and advance to build logic gates, similar to what electrical engineers create. This same logic is used in programming so kids get to see how their favorite game uses coding and engineering together. By the completion of this camp, students will have the knowledge to build many exciting redstone projects in Minecraft. Beginners welcome! Camps open to students ages 11-18.
Coastal Kicks Soccer will be hosting its Annual Beaches Soccer Camp June 5-9 for ages 5-7 and June 12-16 at Jack Russell Park in Atlantic Beach from 9am-11am. In addition a Morning Minnows camp will be available for children ages 3-4 from 9am-9:45am.
