St. Augustine Youth Theatre is dedicated to providing a positive outlet for students to explore what theatre means to them. We believe in teaching the fundamentals while taking a “learn by doing” approach. That is why our classes and camps work towards creating an end product. Students enrolled at St. Augustine Youth Theatre get real time training as young artists and are given the opportunity to sharpen their skills, discover their talents and grow as individuals. Our methods include games, explorative play, and improvisation, as well as the rehearsal and performance process . We believe that theatre is a fantastic tool to teach students how to be goal oriented artists who use their own original voices.

A premier art gallery and gathering place for artists and art enthusiasts

On January 18, 1924, twenty writers, painters, sculptors and photographers gathered to form an arts club. This group planted the seed for the blossoming of the largest art colony of the South during the 1930s-1950s. More than just a gallery, today the Art Association continues its long history of promoting the arts by offering classes, activities, festivals and exhibits. FINDING ENJOYABLE ACTIVITIES DURING THEIR SUMMER IS CHALLENGING
LUCKILY THERE IS A COMPREHENSIVE SOLUTION
They want to have fun and not worry about school, and you want them not to waste their time playing video games. You want your kids to be active, and you also want to make sure they’re in a safe and well-supervised place so you can work and do whatever else you need to do. It can feel impossible to find a program that meets your criteria and will keep your kids happy – and that’s where we come in.

Our summer camp is tailor-made to be fun, educational, and social. Parents love it – and kids do, too.

YOUR CHILD WILL LOVE THEIR SUMMER!
Our summer camp can provide the solution to keep everyone happy. Kids get to attend a fun summer camp that keeps them active and gives them plenty of activities to do while making new friends and connecting with old ones. You get the reassurance of knowing that your kids are learning respect, discipline, and self-control, all of which will help them when they go back to school in the fall.

REST EASY WHILE YOU’RE AT WORK
Arranging for child care during the summer break is a challenge. Instead of hiring a full-time babysitter or putting your kids in daycare, try our camp instead.

Here, experienced instructors teach kids what they need to know to excel in our martial art school and in the classroom. Your kids will be well looked after.

KEEP YOUR KIDS FROM WASTING TIME PLAYING VIDEO GAMES
The last thing you want is for your kids to be couch potatoes all summer long. With our program, they won’t be!

They’ll be active and engaged in fun and educational activities every day, and they’ll have plenty to tell you at the end of the day. Our program is beneficial for them and you.

EDUCATION DOESN’T END WHEN SCHOOL LETS OUT
Summer is the perfect time for kids to prepare themselves for the coming school year. You want them to enjoy their time off, but not to forget what it means to be a good student.

Our summer camp teaches kids the core values they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond. They learn to respect themselves and others, and to acquire the self-discipline to achieve their goals.

SUMMER CAMP MEANS MAKING NEW FRIENDS
You probably have fond memories of attending summer camp when you were a kid, and you want your children to have them, too.

Our summer camp is the perfect environment for kids to make new friends. They share common experiences in the dojo and they learn the value of respecting people with different backgrounds and experience levels.

Helping to instill the understanding that science is everywhere, this inquiry-based approach fosters “whole systems” thinkers. This summer at Camp Invention, children will learn how to think like inventors, problem-solve, collaborate and create – all while having tons of FUN!

What better time to gain a love and respect of the water than when you’re young? Sailing is an activity that has been shown by researchers to have significant benefits to children. Some of these include improving hand-eye coordination, balance, strength, as well as, the ability to improve upon quick thinking skills. Often kids who become active in sailing start to take interest in the weather and other forms of oceanic science. So you can say safely, it’s fun and educational.

SPARS teaches youth sailing in Salt run at Anastasia Water Sports located within Anastasia State Park. Class costs will cover entrance fees for dropping off and picking up children. Sailing lessons are given in our fleet of Optimist Prams, an ideal boat for kids. The Opti is 7’8″ long with a single, 35 square foot sail, and is used for training and racing worldwide. This weight limit for an Opti is 160 lbs. For intermediate sailors we also have seven Sunfish boats.

Our sailing instructors are CPR certified. With a sailing class of six or more there are two instructors per class. At least one instructor is in a chase boat at all times while children are sailing. SPARS provides USCG approved life jackets and require children to wear them at all times in the water. Shoes must be worn at all times due to oyster beds at foot of marsh.
