Father’s Day is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate the amazing dads in our lives than with heartfelt crafts and thoughtful gifts made right at home?
Whether you’re wrangling toddlers or planning something special with your teens, we’ve gathered a few fun and creative Father’s Day ideas that are perfect for those looking to add a special touch — plus, see below for a fun free printable for the kids to fill out, just for Dad!
Handprint Art
Crafts made with our kiddos’ handprints or feetprints are adorable and sentimental, especially for dads of small children. Etsy can be a great resource, and many are easy enough to recreate. I chose a fingerprint tree for my 5-year-old and 8-year-old and gave them each a different color, using washable ink pads. In reality, dads will love anything made by their kids.

Free Printables
We all know how much we love when our kids’ teachers have them fill out those adorable mommy questionnaires, so let Dad in on the fun, too! We created a free “All About Dad” printable questionnaire — click here to download your copy now.
Special Crafts
As much as our kids love making all the things, it helps to consider things he’ll actually use. A homemade coffee mug (truly!) or an office paperweight can be fun and unique. Jacksonville offers many make-and-take studios such as Color Me Mine, Doing Dishes Pottery Studio, and The Clayground. For an easier option, Having Fun at Home gives instructions on making a personalized mug with a Sharpie.

Unique Photographs
In this digital era, and the convenience of cell phone cameras, it’s easy to save thousands of pictures and never print one. Since we’re all super busy (proof being the 1,000 pictures still on your iPhone), you’ll want to check out the Free Prints app. It’s great for printing pictures straight from your phone via your photo album, Facebook, Instagram, and more. It has a 5-star rating in the App Store, and you only pay the price of shipping and handling (never more than $9.99).

Father’s Day Cards
Ink Cards is another great, super simple app. We love the meaning and sentimental value behind greeting cards, but let’s face it — a kid or two later, and our brains may not quite function like they once did. You can create a Father’s Day card for Dad, complete with a selfie or photos and a personal message, and even choose which day to have it delivered — all in under two minutes and less than $5! You can even make one for your own dad and father-in-law, as well. And you can never, ever go wrong with a homemade card.

I love the All about my dad questionaire. Do you have one that says Fathers Day 2015?
I think we will! Keep your eye out!
