Jacksonville offers a plethora of incredible indoor play spaces for you and your family. This list will have you exploring all the best spots for fun and engaging indoor activities!

Best Indoor Play Spaces for Littles & Big Kids

Altitude Trampoline Park (Jacksonville Beach): Located in Jax Beach, Altitude offers tons of trampolines, a toddler-friendly area, a dodgeball spot, trampoline basketball, and a few arcade games. Their monthly membership is super affordable and a must, especially during the summer!

Beaches Rock Gym (Jacksonville Beach): Beaches Rock Gym offers indoor rock climbing for kids of all ages.

Bravoz Family Entertainment Center (Durbin Crossing): Bravoz is filled with trampolines for your kids to bounce on. Special shoes and helmets are required and provided. For those who don’t want to bounce, they have laser tag, separate ninja courses for toddlers and big kids, archery tag, and an arcade to keep you entertained! We’ve only tried the trampolines, but will be rushing back to try archery tag with the older kids.

The Edge Rock Gym (Southside): The Edge Rock Gym is a fun indoor rock climbing gym where kids can test their climbing abilities. They offer memberships, but one-day passes are also available.

Flight Adventure Park (Baymeadows): Calling all thrill-seekers! If you love to move and seek adventure at every turn, you’re in for a treat at Flight. Visit and see why locals call it the best bounce place in Jacksonville, complete with trampolines, a trapeze, a foam pit, inflatables, an arcade, and more. They also offer a separate jump area for littles. Get ready for hours of sky-high fun and excitement right here — their monthly memberships are also great!

Kids Empire (Orange Park): New to Jacksonville, Kids Empire is a massive play space featuring mazes, obstacle courses, slides, climbing structures, building blocks, ride-on toys, and a safe space for toddlers to play, too. Exploring, climbing, and playing never looked so fun! There are numerous tables for adults and an indoor café with the cutest little snack boxes for kids. Worth noting: The claw machines give you 20 tries to win! And if you’re lucky, Huggy the blue dragon may even pay a visit.

My Gym (Mandarin): My Gym offers classes from infants to 13 years old to keep your kids moving! We are always impressed with the attentiveness of their staff and their ability to engage even the shyest kids! Membership is required, but typically your first class is free!

O2B Kids (Mandarin, St. Johns, Fleming Island): O2B Kids has everything and great perks for members, but they also offer general admission. Even if you are not a member, you can come and play anytime! Children and families can engage in child-directed play in a safe and fun environment. Be sure to check out the Big Toy climbing structure, the Building Things area, Costume Corner, or Play Kitchen. Children 0 to 3 years old can explore the special Toddler Play Zone.

Play Jungle (Northside): Bring the adventure indoors, where a world of excitement awaits your little explorers at Play Jungle. Perfect for children under 12, the exciting jungle-themed playground is a safe, clean, and comfortable space for your little ones to run wild. Let them jump, crawl, and have a roaring good time.

Pump It Up (Southside): Known for its inflatables, Pump It Up is a great place to burn some energy running from slide to slide, and there is something fun for all ages. Toddlers will love the Imagination Playground, and big kids will enjoy the obstacle courses and slides. Also great for birthday parties!

Sensory Towne (Baymeadows): Sensory Towne is a fun, modern, and inclusive sensory gym that offers a variety of sensory-based activities, one-of-a-kind sensory circuit classes, interactive floors, specialized equipment, and educational opportunities. Surge Adventure Park (Arlington): Surge Adventure Park is an action-packed indoor trampoline park featuring a variety of exciting attractions, including dodgeball, a zip line, climbing walls, a challenging ninja course, and more.

TNT Gymnastics (St. Johns Bluff Road): TNT has an awesome open gym. The kids bounce off the walls here; it’s a good thing everything is covered in foam! From trampolines to the foam pit, to the tiny bounce house, to the big open gym floor, we love the guaranteed nap when we leave this place.

Trinity Plaza & Indoor Playground (Northside): The three-story indoor playground structure at Trinity Baptist Church is a must-visit. The best part? It’s completely free! Also, enjoy free Wi-Fi and grab a Bold Bean coffee from the nearby cafe.

We Rock the Spectrum (Southside): We Rock the Spectrum offers children a fun and motivational environment that supports their development in areas such as strength, movement, sensory processing, communication, positive behavior modification, social interactions, and self-care skills.

Dave & Busters (Southside): Dave & Busters is a super fun place to enjoy an early dinner and arcade fun with the family.

K1 Speed (Southside): Go-kart racing, anyone? At K1 Speed, the racing conditions are perfect every day on this awesome indoor track.

Community First Igloo (Southside): Ice skating at Community First Igloo can be an excellent indoor activity when it’s hot outside. The rink is open for public ice skating throughout the week.

Main Event (Southside): When you want to let your fun out with family and friends, Main Event is the best and easiest place to head for fun. With state-of-the-art bowling, multi-level laser tag, more than 100 games, handcrafted food, and a full bar under one roof.

Sk8City Jacksonville (Arlington): Sk8City offers a fully equipped roller skating rink, indoor mini golf, a tot play area, an arcade, and more for you and your big-kid crew!

Skate Station (Mandarin, Orange Park): Take it back to when you were a kid at Skate Station! This premier spot offers roller skating, arcade games, and more, plus a full café with delicious bites and drinks.

Must-See Museums

Museum of Contemporary Art (downtown): It’s fun to expose the kids to contemporary art at MOCA — check out the 3rd floor, where you will find an interactive art exhibit just for the kids.

Museum of Science & History (downtown): Take advantage of MOSH‘s special deals and Little Learners program, and explore this amazing museum, complete with interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, and a planetarium. MOSH IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED, SCHEDULED TO REOPEN IN 2028.

Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens (downtown): Cummer Museum is stunning and often offers a scavenger hunt to encourage the kids to explore the galleries. My kids’ highlight is always the interactive section, where they can play and create their own little masterpieces! Check out their calendar of events for kids.

Bowling Fun for the Family

Batt Family Fun (Northside): Batt Family Fun Center is a great place to have fun with family and friends. At Batt Family Fun Center, you can have a great time at prices that won’t break your family’s budget. They have plenty of bumper bowling lanes just for kids.

Beach Bowl (Jacksonville Beach): The newly renovated Beach Bowl offers 24 lanes, VIP party rooms, three full bars, a restaurant serving up all of your favorites, an arcade with more than 30 games, and a second-floor patio. This is a Jacksonville Mom favorite!

Bowlero (Southside,  Mandarin): Formerly Bowl America, Bowlero has cosmic bowling, birthday parties, and bowling leagues.

Jax Lanes Bowling Center (Southside): Pick up a strike and show off your bowling skills at Jax Lanes. Don’t leave the kids at home; youngsters will love the family-friendly activities at this alley just as much as their parents.

King Pins Bowling Center (Normandy Mall): Your first choice for family, food, and fun! King Pins Bowling Center features 20 lanes, an arcade, big screens, and daily specials. King Pins is a great place for family-oriented fun and activities.

Chuck E. Cheese is an old-school favorite for kids of all ages.

More Cheap & Easy Fun

Avenues Mall (Southside): Highlights of the Avenues Mall are the soft play area (free) and the train ride (about $3). A nice bonus is the number of elevators and escalators that provide entertainment for the kids. The soft play area is very small and limited, but it can usually last us about 30 minutes or an hour.

Barnes & Noble (St. Johns Town Center): The kids’ section at the St. John’s Town Center Barnes & Noble features a small play area, events, and storytime on select days. When you’re done, head to the small kids’ play area by Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Chick-fil-A (various locations): The play areas at Chick-fil-A are usually clean, fun, and safe, and it’s one of the best places to actually squeeze in a conversation with another mom.

Chuck E. Cheese (Regency, Southside, Orange Park): No summer of ours is complete without a trip to see the local mouse at Chuck E. Cheese. You can keep your visit cheap if sign up for their email club, use coupons, and limit the number of tokens per kid.

Local Libraries (various locations): More than just books, our libraries offer puzzles and computers with educational games. The weekly storytime is a must for little ones, even on a sunny day! Check out Duval, Clay, and St. John’s library websites and plan a visit to your local library, too.

  3. A lot of parents these days remain sick worried about their kids’ dietary habits and their overall health condition. One reason for that is usually attributed to the growing levels of obesity in the kids these days. There once was a time when the children of the house, for the most part of the day, were to be found playing on outdoor play equipment.

  4. You might wanna add Ikea in for free or cheap. They have a play area that you can drop off your kid while you shop. It’s free,but your child must be potty trained and within a certain height range. It’s for an hour, but only if they have the spot available.

    Located at The Retreat in Ponte Vedra Beach , on Mondays at 4:30-5:15pm. Bring your kids after school to have some fun, learn some new yoga poses and practice meditation to help improve focus and mood.
