And while there is nothing wrong with soaking up the sun and sand, sometimes you just want something different. Jacksonville has so much more to offer than just the beach, and if you’re anything like me, you’re always looking for new ways to get the kids outside without hearing “I’m bored” five minutes in (no promises, they still might say it). This list is packed with unique outdoor adventures in Jacksonville for families that go beyond the shoreline.

Paddle through history at Kingsley Plantation

I just discovered it and can’t wait to take my kids. iIt’s a great way to get outside, challenge yourself, and bond as a family.
