The Ultimate Guide to Free Summer Fun: Free Museums

Check out these free and almost free museums in Jacksonville!

Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville – Explore MOCA for free the first Wednesday of the month from 5-9pm. Bank of America cardholders can get in free the first Saturday and Sunday of the month. Cost: Free on days listed.

The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens – Visit the Cummer Museum for free on Tuesdays from 4-9pm and also on the first Saturday of the month. Cost: Free on days listed.

Kingsley Plantation – You can visit the Kingsley Plantation for free seven days a week from 9am-5pm.  You can explore the grounds at Kingsley Plantation, which include the slave quarters, barn, waterfront, plantation house, kitchen house, and interpretive garden. Cost: Free

Museum of Science and History – Although MOSH doesn’t offer any freebie hours, you can take advantage of their Little Learners program on the 2nd Wednesday of the month and visit at a discounted rate. Cost: $5 per person on Fridays, kids under 3 are free.
