Halloween isn’t just for little kids. Big kids and adults love a spooky thrill. So whether you’re a teenager looking for some haunted fun or an adult looking for a fun night out, we’ve got all the best big kid & adult Halloween events in Jacksonville.


Oktoberfest Jacksonville
September 30 – October 1
Oktoberfest Jacksonville at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery celebrates German cuisine, culture and great beer with this two-day event in Jacksonville, Florida. Enjoy a variety of entertainment including live music and traditional dancing while food vendors provide a smorgasbord of authentic German cuisine, traditional festival fare, and thirst-quenching beers. Games and activities available Friday and Saturday.
Kick off the event with the Hands On Jacksonville Human Race 5k Oktoberfest Run to the Sod Farm at the Brewery. The Oktoberfest Fall Festival runs Friday night from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday festival hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.


Haunt Nights Adventure Landing
Weekend nights Sept 30-Oct 31
Adventure Landing gets spooky with 4 haunted houses and zombie attack laser tag. Haunt Nights is only at the Jacksonville Beach Adventure Landing location. The haunted house attractions are not intended for ages 12 and under.


Sugar Skulls and Tequila Tasting at Sweet Pete’s
October 6 – November 10 (Thursday evenings only)
Learn to make and mold a sugar skull. Learn techniques for decorating a skull and choose from different embellishments to create a unique sugar skull to take home. Cap off your evening in the Candy Apple Cafe with a tasting of fine tequilas expertly curated by Candy Apple Cafe’s mixologist. 21 years of age and up.


Haunted Moonlight Hike and Costume Dance
October 15 :: 7:00pm
Prepare to be scared on this moonlight hike at Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park. Wear appropriate footwear, the hike will be approximately one mile on an unpaved trail. 


The Catty Shack Ranch Halloween Haunted Forest
October 14, 21, 28 :: 5:00-9:00pm

October 15, 22, 29 :: 3:00-9:00pm
October 16 :: 1:00-5:00pm

Join us for our biggest event of the year! This October, the forest comes alive with monsters and … Venture through hair-raising scenes like the Infirmary and Butcher Shoppe or see if you survive the Electric Chair! And be sure to watch out for zombies!

Don’t want to test your luck in the Haunted Forest? Check out the Ghoul Garden located by the foxes or stop by the Laboratory for a fun, gooey, hands-on experience! (Not to worry parents, there will be a clean-up station available.) And of course, there will be plenty of time to view the animals! Knowledgeable volunteers will be present throughout the sanctuary to tell you all about our residents and answer any questions you may have. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. The Costume Contest will take place on Sunday, October 16th at 3:00 PM. The winner will receive a 6-Visit Pass to the sanctuary!


Rebounderz Haunted Laser Tag
Times to be announced
There is something haunted lurking behind the doors at Rebounderz. Round up a team of your bravest friends as you enter the combat arena with different scare zones around every corner. Recommended for ages 8 and up.


Rype & Readi’s Haunted Mansion & Burning Man Giant Scarecrow
Oct 29 :: 4-9pm
Rype & Readi will be burning the scarecrows made in during their Giant Scarecrow Building Competition to mark the opening of the SPOOKS ON Haunted Mansion at Rype & Readi.


Field of Screams at Conner’s A-Maize-Ing Acres
Oct. 22, 28, 29 :: 7 -10pm

Bone chilling, spine-tingling, heart-pounding….. Be prepared to get scared in the maze! Not recommended for children under 10.


Candy Fest Trick or Treating for Adults
Oct 20 :: 5-7pm & Oct 21 :: 9-11pm
Trick or Treat around Blackfinn Ameripub while sampling 8 adult friendly Halloween inspired cocktails and this year paired with Sweet Pete’s candies! Ages 21+ only.


Brew at the Zoo
Oct 7 :: 7-10:30pm {SOLD OUT}
Brew at the Zoo features delicious food and drink vendors from around Jacksonville, live music, games, and more in the amazing setting of the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. All proceeds from the event benefit the care and feeding of our 2,000 animals and over 1,000 plants. At the ninth annual Brew at the Zoo, guests will enjoy unlimited tastes of over 100 craft and import beers and sample food and drink from over 40 local restaurants. VIPs will have access to an exclusive full bar, so get your tickets early! Plus, all guests will enjoy listening to live music, playing fun games, and more!


Beaches Octoberfest

The Beaches Oktoberfest is Florida’s Largest Annual Oktoberfest. The three-day festival held in the heart of North Florida at the Jacksonville Beach Sea Walk Pavilion attracts 45,000-55,000 attendees annually.


Jaxtoberfest

Jaxtoberfest is a two-day festival full of beer, bratwurst and entertainment. Held at the St. John’s Town Center, it will feature authentic, mouthwatering German traditional favorites such as bratwurst and pretzels, as well as some of Jacksonville’s finest food trucks, offering a wide variety of tasty items throughout the day.


Suwannee Hulaween
Oct 28-30
A 3-day music festival set in Live Oak along the black Suwannee River. Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is one of the most beautiful live music venues in the country and offers guest comforts including a general store, full-service restaurant, free showers, indoor bathrooms and water stations.


Trail of Terror
Dates to be announced
The Trail of Terror is Jacksonville’s oldest haunted attraction with over 8 acres of bone-chilling zombies. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.


The Scream Park
Weekend nights Oct 1-31
The Scream Park is conveniently located at The Clay County Fairgrounds in Green Cove Springs Florida, just 20 minutes south of Jacksonville. The totally redesigned Scream Park offers three indoor haunted houses, midway rides, food vendors and fun for the whole family at an affordable price. Not recommended for children under 10.


Warehouse 31 Unleashed
Weekend nights beginning Sept 30 :: 7pm
Wish Halloween was more than just a day? Let Warehouse 31 Unleashed fulfill that dream. The Misfits are causing mayhem with their cleverly planned carnage and will be roaming in 2 brand new mazes and a haunted hayride.
