Brought to you by Amelia Island Visitors Bureau
Thanksgiving opened the winter holiday season of festive family togetherness. Now, Amelia Island ushers in Christmas with Dickens on Centre, which makes its debut this Friday, December 4, 2015.
Experience Christmas Past made present. Immerse yourself in a Victorian Christmas feel this holiday season in historic downtown Fernandina Beach. Think chestnuts roasting, carolers strolling, and Saint Nick arriving. Wander and wonder through a true Victorian Christmas, made new through the spectacular Dickens on Centre event this December.
This event is FREE to visitors.
Moms will wax nostalgic for the outdoor screenings of 1938 classic, “A Christmas Carol” while everyone will join in the heavenly caroling.
Children can view the arrival of Old Saint Nick and meet him for photos later, even dropping him a letter at our official North Pole Post.
The KidZone will offer old-fashioned games, like hoops and sticks.
Street performers, as well as roving Dickens characters like Scrooge and Tiny Tim, will animate the festival.
Dads and moms, grab your top hats and fasten your bonnets. After all, this family event will be as fun as the Dickens.
