The emphasis of Splash Jax Swim School is to teach proper swim techniques while learning basic water safety in a fun, energetic atmosphere. The Splash Jax Swim School staff has been professionally trained to offer your child the latest in teaching and learning. Children are taught in small groups (4:1) which will allow them the ability to learn skills properly. Kerry Wick has more than 25 years of competitive coaching experience. She has instructed swimmers with USA Swimming, Florida High School Swimming, and United States Masters Swimming. Kerry is the head coach and owner of Kerry Wick Swim School, a youth program specializing in stroke technique.
Kerry is a United States Masters Swimmer with open water swim victories. She is a member of the 100K World Record Open Water Lake Swim held in Lake Cane, Orlando, Florida, October 12 – 14, 2007. She currently competes in pool and open water races with Holmes Lumberjax Swim Team in Jacksonville, Florida.
The JCA Aquatics Department is committed to the development of swimmers of all ages and skill levels. Swimming is a lifetime activity, focusing on the enjoyment, health benefits and competition. The JCA Aquatics Department offers private swim lessons for all ages, while offering group swim lessons for children. Youth and teens are eligible to swim in our YR swim team program or can participate in various specialty aquatic programs. The Swim Lesson Club indoor heated pool is located in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville. Our pool is heated 92 degrees and perfectly designed for teaching all ages of swimming instruction.
We utilize endless swimming technology allowing us to easily correct technique and achieve excellent swimming conditioning for our developing swimmers. We offer videographer and stroke analysis that is very difficult to accomplish in a normal lap swimming pool. We partner with Swim Angelfish and utilize a special methodology ideal for children with water anxiety, sensory sensitivity, autism, or in need of adapted swimming instruction.
We partner with US Masters Swimming to provide top-notch swim coaching for our developing and advanced swimmers. Our adult students benefit from our partnership with US Masters Swimming and the Emperor Penguin adult learn to swim program/ self-teaching method.
Instructors are certified Lifeguards and often Red Cross WSI certified. The Swim Lesson Club instructor mentoring process allows good instructors to become amazing working directly with the owner for weeks or months before they will teach classes independently. Our instructors are the best and achieve consistent progress with their students. We are not satisfied for our students to stagnate in lessons, our team will collaborate to adjust strategies for each student to achieve results in a fun way. We specialize in private or semi-private classes to focus our attention on each student’s unique learning process.
Located in Green Cove Springs, this spring-fed swimming pool has undergone renovation in recent years and is ready for swimmers! Spring Park is a beautiful park located along the St. Johns River, one block east of City Hall and features playground equipment, picnic facilities, and a gazebo!
Wiley Road Playground is located at the intersection of Lane Avenue and Wiley Road in southwest Jacksonville. It resides adjacent to the Cedar Hills Estates neighborhood that was developed in the latter 1950’s, and across from Hyde Grove Elementary School that that was built in 1960. The City purchased most of the playground property in 1971, and obtained the rest when for a portion of Coulee Ave. was closed two years later. The property remained undeveloped for several years, and HUD built a Senior Citizen Center at the site about 1980-81. During its early years, the playground contained an athletic field, tennis and shuffleboard courts, restrooms, and a sizeable undeveloped area. Recent improvements include a new water feature in 2001 and a major addition to the Senior Center in 2003.
At Little Seals Swim School, we offer one-on-one survival swim lessons to children as young as 8 months old. Babies/infants are taught to roll over and float on their backs. Once they reach a year old (or have been walking for about 6 weeks), they are taught to swim with their face in the water. The children are then taught to sequence the swimming with the floating in order to rest and breathe while swimming and playing in the water. They repeat the swim-float-swim sequence until they reach the steps or side. Once children are fully skilled, they have the opportunity to practice their skills fully clothed for “Silly Swim” lessons. Once lessons are completed, students are encouraged to maintain their skills by attending twice-monthly maintenance lessons (or semi-annual refresher lessons). Introduction to stroke lessons are, also, available for children that are developmentally ready (usually beginning between 4 and 6 years of age). Instructors are trained to present stroke lessons in a fun way that is relatable to young children.

After much consideration and planning, We are excited to announce we have partnered with divers den located by mail and more on Kings bay road to start an indoor heated year round swim school (survival swimming oriented) for all various levels of swimming starting at ages 5 months (able to sit and roll independently) and up we will be opening November 1st, 2018 unless contacted by message to start sooner and the hours will be from 12:15-6:00

For the survival swimming basic training it takes on average about 5 weeks of one on one lessons Monday-Thursday for 15 minutes a day for little ones to become completely skilled.

Certified ISR instructor offering ISR swim lessons for children 6mo.- 6 years old in a private pool in Julington Creek.
Coach Sally’s Swim & Learn is designed to teach swimming and water safety to ages 6 months to adult. The American Red Cross guidelines are the basis for teaching participants to swim independently on top of the water. Safety in and around the water is stressed and taught in a Christian environment.
Group class sizes are limited to four participants to promote hands-on teaching and practice assistance during the lesson. Group classes are one-week 45 minute-session per day, May through mid-August.
