Since 1909, Camp Immokalee has been providing safe, fun, and high-quality summer resident camp programs for youth in Florida and around the world. Immokalee campers learn to care for themselves, others, and the world around them while building life and activity skills through camp activities. Grit, gratitude, and character are 21st-century skills every young person will need to succeed, and our camp activities are carefully designed to get kids out of their comfort zone and develop leadership skills while building community and having fun.
Campers live in cabins with other campers of their own age and gender, and under the guidance of their assigned camp counselor. Cabin life teaches young people self-sufficiency, contributing to a small community, and stewardship of their cabin and camp.
Immokalee provides campers with the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature, and through that experience, learn about themselves and connect with others. With this purpose in mind, they keep Immokalee a tech-free zone. Cell phones and other media devices are not allowed at camp in order to protect the privacy of all campers and to prevent campers from immersing in a screen instead of in the camp environment and community. Digital or disposable cameras are welcome, and allow campers to select what images they would like to share with friends and families after their time at camp is over.
At YMCA Camp Immokalee, it is the belief that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. They provide an exciting, safe community for everyone to explore the outdoors, try new things, and make lasting friendships and memories. They day camp and resident camp sessions push campers to challenge by choice. There’s truly no place like YMCA Camp Immokalee.
Locations include Baymeadows and Orange Park.

Hello Jacksonville Mamas! As a Mama of a sneaky, 7 year old, I know how important it is to have quality classes and camps for our children. I hope you will check us out! I have been a professional actress in Los Angeles for the past 25 years. You may have seen me in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films, the long running Orbit gum commercial campaign, (you know “DIrty Mouth?” and “Fabulous!”, that’s me!), where we shot 45 commercials all over the world, or any number of films and T.V. shows from “Lost”, to “CSI”, to “Gilmore Girls” to name a few. I am now passing on my love of acting and my experience in the film industry to children, teens and young adults who have a real passion for the craft. I teach them what it truly means to act in front of the camera and offer the kind of training usually only reserved for L.A., New York and London. Come join me for fun, inspiring camps and classes where students will delve into the amazing and magical world of acting and learn the skills it takes to thrive in this industry.

NEXT STOP BROADWAY® is a week-long musical theatre intensive consisting of classes, workshops, and rehearsals focused on the “Golden Age of Broadway.” The staff of Broadway professionals teaches songs and choreography from classic Broadway productions and replicates the process of putting on an authentic Broadway show.
Next Stop Broadway is unique among the vast amount of theatre programs available for musical theatre loving youth. It is a five-day intensive that focuses on being in the ensemble of a classic Broadway show!
This program encourages teamwork and is designed to teach the importance of building a strong Ensemble. All participants are part of the Ensemble; no auditions are required and there are no “lead” roles. Previous theater experience is celebrated but not necessary, and anyone with an interest in the performing arts is welcome.
Through the rehearsal process of selections from classic musicals, the ensemble sings, dances, and acts, and each member has their chance to shine. This summer cast members will explore the work of Lerner and Loewe, and will perform selections from Brigadoon and My Fair Lady. In addition to the big musicals, the cast is divided into smaller groups where they get to engage their creativity in writing, directing, choreographing, and starring in their own mini-musicals. The week culminates with an “Opening Night” performance for family and friends on Friday.
