Founded in 2002 by Cathy Finne, Studio 1014 has been giving students in the greater Jacksonville area a well-rounded dance education in a warm and welcoming environment. With a variety of classes and performance opportunities, we cater to students who wish to dance for fun and exercise, as well as those who wish to continue on the professional track.

Orlando Ballet School in partnership with the Florida Ballet offers students small class sizes and an opportunity to intensely focus on their technique training. Faculty includes Orlando Ballet School and Florida Ballet faculty as well as guest teachers.

Eagle Arts concludes with our themed showcase. Campers will dazzle audience members as they come together in a celebration of their new artistic talents!

Camp Broadway introduces young people to the world of life on-stage and behind the scenes. Training in acting, scene study, improvisation, music theory, solo and ensemble singing, movement and dance make up the intensive class work. Triple-threat workshops give one-on-one instruction in singing, dancing and acting.

It has been proclaimed the “Camp of Dreams” for all those starry-eyed kids who are just beginning to dream of being on Broadway someday. It is a self-contained summer workshop that travels around the country, bringing Broadway to kids.

Aspiring young campers learn about the theater from 10 NY staff members of Broadway performers, choreographers and musicians. The 40 hours of camp include singing, dancing and master classes for kids ages 10-17 and every kid gets their own headshot, and a Camp Broadway t-shirt.

With authentic Broadway instructors teaching dance routines and musical numbers at the same break-neck speed as a real Broadway show, Camp Broadway is a fun-filled week of activities designed to teach kids about the serious business of live theater.

Girls Inc. of Jacksonville is currently offering 3 in person summer programs at the Elementary, Middle and High School level. Each camp will provide comprehensive and fun programming during the summer months to combat summer learning loss and expose girls to different experiences. This summer camp experience includes fun and educational activities, field trips and special programming from community partners. Providing the same level of personalized service and attention to detail enjoyed by guests of Greyfield Inn Island Camp leaders Allen and Charla Long will direct exciting and educational daily adventures for children 5 and up such as arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, beekeeping, kayaking, surfing, kite flying, tie dying, and much more. The Junior Lifeguard program is a one-week, full-day camp for kids 9-15, and is sponsored by the City of Jacksonville Beach and the American Red Cross Volunteer Life Saving Corp. ecause the camp is held at the lifeguard station, the students can view how professional lifeguards handle beach emergencies and day-to-day operations.

The program trains students to get a job as a lifeguard when they turn sixteen years old. Many of our lifeguards have pursued careers as firefighters, police officers, military personnel, doctors, and nurses.

Storytelling workshops share a new form of communicating and self expression with participants. Attendees discover the art of connecting with people. Full and half day sessions are available.

Theatre Jacksonville’s SUMMER CAMP is gearing up for another fantastic time! Each of our 4-week sessions celebrates the joyful, ridiculous and brilliant imagination of your child. It’s time for them to explore, have fun and make new friends all while discovering the world of live performance. Our experienced artists share their passion for theatre through classes in acting, music, dance, and improvisation. Each session wraps-up with campers putting on a show for you! Unfolding before your eyes is everything our campers have learned. This is a performance written and created just for them. Also supporting our campers throughout their day are our energetic camp counselors, some of the best and brightest teens from area high schools. Come create! Doing Dishes Summer Art Camp Workshops are celebrating 16 years of summer fun. These fun and step by step workshops will get the creative juices flowing for ages 7 and up. Each session has a different theme and project. Campers will create at least two great projects a day, project mediums include, pottery painting, clay and glass fusion. Ages 7+.

This summer camp will expose your children to the magic of live theater. Through workshops, your budding thespians will write and stage their very own theatrical performances, designing and building sets and backdrops for the show. On the final day of camp, we’ll celebrate the collaborative production with lunch served Hollywood wrap-party style.

Camp Jr. Paleontologist
This camp offers an exciting introduction into the basics of Paleontology! This exciting adventure in Paleontology will have your child playing in the dirt and having the time of their lives! Campers will be immersed in several hands-on projects that they will take home to continue their adventure. Plus this camp offers fun and dynamic science games!

Camp Jr. Weather Scientist
Campers discover why weather changes and will explore the different components that makeup weather. Our beginner meteorologists learn about the sun, discuss extreme weather (tornadoes and hurricanes!), learn about instruments that are used to predict and track weather, and will even create their own weather news segment with our Green Screen set up!

Camp Jr. Veterinarian
Does your child LOVE animals? This camp is a young person’s ticket to the world of Veterinary Medicine. Our lessons will give young vets an opportunity to look into the exciting careers of veterinarians, and allow them to be involved in related hands-on activities and experiments. Each camper will even receive their own stethoscope and make their own medical kit! Campers are NOT to bring their own pets to camp

Camp Jr. Space Engineer
Using LEGO® bricks, campers will design and build structures and space vehicles for living on far away planets. Campers will utilize a variety of LEGO® bricks including motors, gears, lights, and sensors. Space Engineer includes instruction on the Earth, Moon, stars, and planets as well as the scientific topics of force, friction, simple machines, and gravity. Campers will also join the crew aboard the International Space Station (ISS) to learn about propulsion, friction and more. Counselors will assign specific projects each day that include: a rotating satellite, space buggy, a stunning spaceship, terrestrial homes that can withstand alien atmospheres and a host of other exciting projects. Campers will work in teams to complete their missions. Full-day Camps also include two separate ESTES® rocket builds, and an epic launch demonstration on the final day of camp!

Camp Jr. Scientist
The Jr. Scientist Camp covers a broad range of fun and exciting science topics such as, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Lab Process Skills. Duval County 4-H camping opportunities provide great summer experiences for both 4-H members and prospective 4-H youth! Join us for a truly unique day Summer Camp experience for kids/teens interested in learning the basic skills of Aerial Performing Arts. Campers will learn basic moves and transitions in acrobatics, aerial hoop (lyra), silks, and vertical pole (as seen in Cirque De Soleil), while building their strength and flexibility. They will also have the opportunity to develop dance, tumbling skills and to practice some very basic costuming and make-up skills. Each session we will have a special theme we will work with to create our special show and performance. An exciting evening of performances will be hosted at the end of each session; campers will perform their skills for family and friends.

Camp is available for children ages 9-17. Camp runs Monday through Friday. Extended pick up and drop off are available for an additional fee.You can send your child to camp with a lunch or we have the option of adding a healthy lunch that will be provided each day by Perfect Pear Catering. Catered lunches will include a delicious main dish, 1-2 sides, dessert, and drink. Due to the unique nature of our camp, there will be limited spots available to ensure individualized instruction and safety. Renaissance Youth this the parent company of Soccer Shots, Next Generation Athletics and Engineering for Kids. This year we are pulling some of our best and brightest instructors from each of these companies to offer what you’ve been asking for for ages 5-13 (rising kindergarteners – 8th grade). Join Florida Film Academy at Flagler College campus for a Summer Filmmaking Academy for students aged 13-18. Each week students complete a short film for festival submission, a trailer AND produce broadcast segments for inclusion in the successful Flagler College TV Series “Ancient City Stories”, shown on CW-17. Day or Residency options available. In this hands-on movie making experience for youth 7-12 and teens 13-18, students write, direct, film and edit their own movies, guided by our expert instructors and each group works on different challenges throughout the week. On Friday we welcome student’s families to our camp premiere to screen the films produced.

This extended school year program provides enrichment, maintenance, and remediation of academic skills in a fun, values-based environment. Students entering Kindergarten through sixth grade enjoy structured learning activities in a blended learning environment that include small group instruction, collaborative work, and computer-assisted instruction. Students will develop skills in creativity, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration through hands-on learning. Held at the Mandarin Campus based on enrollment.

During each of our 4-week sessions our campers will cycle daily through classes in acting, musical theatre, dance, and improvisation. After an initial week of preparation and training, we hold camp-wide auditions for an original show, written by our professional instructing team and directors, which becomes the curriculum for all classes for the remainder of camp. Just wait until you see all the kids take our stage as they sing, dance, and act up a storm during their end of session performances! Aiding your children during classes and helping them throughout their day are our fabulous camp counselors,
some of the best and brightest teenagers from area high schools.

Our Creative Me! Summer Camp Program promotes exploration and discovery of the art world. To help foster that growth we give our students the opportunity to think outside the box while working on their teacher-guided art projects. Your child’s week at camp will be centered around a specific art theme. Within that theme, they will explore a variety of age-appropriate materials and hands-on processes, while having a great time! Just have your child wear old clothes and bring a small snack!

The 12th Annual High School Summer Musical Theatre Experience presents
West Side Story

The Summer Musical Theatre Experience (SMTE) provides the opportunity for local area high school students to work hands-on with some of the highest recognized local theatre professionals at the FSCJ Nathan H. Wilson Center for the Arts.

From the first notes to the final breath, West Side Story is one of the most memorable musicals and greatest love stories of all time. Arthur Laurents’ book remains as powerful, poignant and timely as ever. The score by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim is widely regarded as one of the best ever written. The world’s greatest love story takes to the streets in this landmark Broadway musical that is one of the theatre’s finest accomplishments.

Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is transported to modern-day New York City as two young, idealistic lovers find themselves caught between warring street gangs, the “American” Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks. Their struggle to survive in a world of hate, violence and prejudice is one of the most innovative, heartwrenching and relevant musical dramas of our time.

This week-long summer camp provides career readiness skills for students age 15-21 who have disabilities. We will be focusing on four core topics: career exploration, work readiness training, work experience, and self-advocacy. Our goal is to empower students to live independent lives by obtaining these skills. Guest speakers and field trips will be core components of the curriculum.

Students who complete 50 hours of camp will receive a certificate of completion and valuable skills to put on their resumes.

Join us the first week of summer for Yoga Camp 1:30-3:30, where kids (grades 1-5) will practice yoga and relaxation/ breathing techniques, play games, make craft projects and make a healthy snack recipe everyday! Discount for siblings and for registering early!

Summer Music Camp at Jacksonville School of Music offer a variety of experiences to your aspiring artist!

Summer Music Camp sessions for grades 1-6 will experience rhythm live with Pipe Stomp, Boom Whackers, & Percussion Instruments, 3 Small Group Lessons in your choice of instruments offered, Music- themed Creative Art and Games, Exploring concepts in music theory, and a Showcase Performance!

GirlsTech Summer Camp is a six-week STEM learning experience for upper elementary and middle school girls. The Jacksonville Children’s Chorus is excited to announce our third annual choral festival and summer day camp, River City Choral Festival and Day Camp. A fun-filled week of music, choral singing, choreography/dance, games, swimming, field trips, and performances – and lots of fun times and new friends!

A summer day camp is available to rising sixth through twelfth grade singers from 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Camp designed for treble voices: sopranos and altos only; no changed (tenor or bass) voices.

Our conductor for the festival will be Melissa Keylock of the San Diego North Coast Singers.

Princess Academy- Ages 3-5 Years Old
Every little girl wants to be a princess…let her be! This camp will let 3-5-year-olds dance, craft and pretend all morning long. Your dancer can wear her favorite princess dress, and each day will feature a book and related craft. This camp will also feature instruction in dance, tumbling and creative movement. This camp meets Monday through Thursday.

Descendants Camp- Ages 6-12 Years Old
Has your dancer ever dreamed of being cast in a movie musical? This fun week we will be learning dances from your favorite movies, holding practice auditions, and giving you the opportunity to shine with a special showing of your movie at the end of the week. There will be a showcase on the final day of class at 11am in the GC studio, and parents are welcome to attend. This camp meets Monday through Friday.

Broadway Dance and Acting Academy- Ages 6 & Up
Hit the lights! This camp will include instruction in theatre arts and theory, acting, dance and performance. Gloria Jennings Robinson will be teaching a master class in musical theatre with assistance from GC Staff teaching Broadway-style dance. Gloria has directed and taught musical theatre for over 40 years, holds a masters in theatre, and has multiple former students on Broadway, in films and on television. There will be a one- scene showcase on the final day of class from a popular musical in the GC studio, and parents are welcome to attend. This camp meets Monday through Friday.

Dance camps are faith-based but welcomes all to participate. We start each morning with prayer & bible scriptures.

Classes will include but not limited to: ballet, jazz, tap, choreography, drama skits, tambourine & Flag dances among other classes when available such as streamer dancing, stretch classes creative dance and more.

Join us for a truly unique Summer Camp experience for kids/teens ages 8-17, interested in learning the basic skills of circus and aerial arts. Campers will learn basic moves and transitions in acrobatics, aerial hoop (lyra), silks, and vertical pole (as seen in Cirque De Soleil), while building their strength and flexibility. They will also have the opportunity to develop dance, tumbling skills and to practice some very basic costuming and make-up skills. Each session we will have a special theme we will work with to create our special show and performance. An exciting evening of performances will be hosted at the end of each session; campers will perform their skills for family and friends.

The Jacksonville Children’s Chorus is excited to announce our third annual festival and summer day camp, River City Choral Festival & Piano Keyboard Day Camp – A fun-filled week of music, beginning piano keyboard skills, games, swimming, sight-reading notes and rhythms, field trips and an end-of-week performance – and lots of new friends! The Piano Keyboard Camp will take place alongside the River City Choral Festival and Camp. Students can select to participate in the Choral Festival and Camp or the Piano Keyboard Camp track and still take advantage of the field trips and group activities. The day sessions will be 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Singers will experience a balanced schedule of both instructional and recreational activities throughout the week. Sessions will focus on developing musicianship, sight-reading notes and rhythms, and developing beginning piano skills by experienced and qualified JCC instructors. Team activities will help develop camaraderie, social equality, and love of mankind.

Our music camp is open to students 1st-5th grade. Campers will receive instruction on a variety of instruments such as drums, xylophones, and ukulele. Students will also participate in movement and dance activities, singing, and literacy. Each day 8:30am -1:00 pm, they will attend four sessions and work on a piece for performance. At the end of the week, we will do a full camp performance. These daily lessons will help encourage creativity, increase musical skills, and foster a love of music. Taught by local music teachers.

We will also have the Chamos Cup! Each group will accumulate points during the week by completing activities, working as a team, helping others, and more. By the end of the week the group with the most points will win the trophy! All communications will be in Spanish, but if they need to use English they will have to go to the “Circulo ingles” (English circle), but this may take points from their team!

Did we mention we will build a piñata to be broken on Friday during the closing ceremony? We will match each child’s need by tailoring our camp to them. Our Amelia Island Adventure Camp is for kids age 9-12 who would enjoy an immersive nature and skill building experience. Kids learn kayak skills and paddleboarding, and go on nature tours, finding dolphins and other wildlife.

Our Adventure Camp goals are very simple: Learn about nature, develop confidence building skills, and have fun! Camp includes three days of activities and an optional bonus day for your child and family.

Kayaking and paddleboarding in and around Amelia Island immerses kids into the nature and wildlife of our coastal islands. This is an incredible experience for our children. Learning the technical and leadership skills required to safely paddle boosts both teamwork and self confidence in our children.

Camps are hourly options each week rather than week long camps. This offers stability of reading instruction over the summer while still allowing vacation or day camp participation elsewhere. The cost is set for affordability. It is $360 for 2 sessions per week for 8 weeks (16 hours of instruction) or $700 for 4 sessions per week for the 8 weeks (saving $40).

The reading camp is designed for struggling readers. There are 2 groups: K-2 and 3-5. EDS uses research based programs that are direct, intensive and repetitive. In the first hour, the student will work on decoding and encoding strategies while in the second hour, the student works on comprehension and written expression. Stability with decoding is necessary before embarking on comprehension instruction. All instruction is fun and rewarding! Join us and make your summer one to remember.

A fun and informative 3-day summer jazz camp for instrumentalists and vocalists, 9th grade through adult ages, from basic skill levels to pro. Excellent back-to-school prep for students with band and vocal courses in the fall, for music instructors seeking helpful stylistic tools for teaching jazz, and for adults to advance their skills in performing jazz, from the novice to pro levels.  The camp ends with a Camper / Faculty Showcase Concert the day after camp – Invite all your family and friends!

This year we are excited to announce that we have MOCA Summer Art Camp Scholarships thanks to a generous donation from the Win Gartner Memorial Fund. Scholarships are available for one session per camper only and cover 100% of registration and extended day fees. Low-income families and/or families who have undergone recent financial hardship are eligible, and there is a limit of two scholarships per household (one per camper). Applications must be submitted no later than May 1. Submitting this application does not guarantee your child a session at Summer Art Camp. Does your child love to paint, sculpt, draw, print, and more? Cultivate their creative abilities in our summer camp. Young artists will observe and explore the artwork in the galleries and gardens, experiment with different art media in the studio, and create and show-off their artwork in an open house each week.

Thanks to the generosity of supporters, the Cummer Museum is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships for the Summer Camp 2020. Scholarships are intended to provide financial assistance to individuals interested in the arts. If awarded, scholarships cover 100% of the registration cost. Campers applying for a scholarship cannot register for Summer Camp in advance. Once contacted regarding their scholarship status, applicants will be directed to register for Summer Camp through an online Registration Form for scholarship recipients.

In order to be considered for a scholarship, applicants must complete a Scholarship Application Form. If the form is not completed, the applicant will not be considered. Applications will be reviewed weekly and applicants will typically hear back within seven days. This is a rolling application and Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to those who qualify. Please note that the camper’s parent/guardian is expected to provide transportation to and from the Museum each day as well as lunch and a snack each day.

Kids will learn cooking basics – chopping, whisking, measuring, blending, etc. They’ll work both individually on the morning snack recipes and as a team to create the main recipe of the day and sample their creation.

Classes are open to all children, they need not attend Christ’s Church Academy. Early Bird price is $275.

Summer Theater Camp for aspiring actors or for those who want to experience the theater and acting for the first time. At JAX Cooking Studio, kids are taught to cook with whole foods from scratch. All classes are hands-on, and each child participates in preparing the food. At the end of each day, the kids eat what they have cooked. Yum! The beginner camps will focus on building confidence on the bike while learning basic bike safety and skills to be translated into trail riding. Our intermediate camp will primarily focus on trail riding while learning to navigate roots, rocks, and sand. These skills can help teach how to overcome both the obstacles in life as well as the bike. All camps will include a mix of trail riding, skills, games, and crafts.

Intro to Redstone Logic in Minecraft is a fun coding camp that introduces kids to redstone, an element used for mechanical and electrical programming in Minecraft. They will learn how redstone works and advance to build logic gates, similar to what electrical engineers create. This same logic is used in programming so kids get to see how their favorite game uses coding and engineering together. By the completion of this camp, students will have the knowledge to build many exciting redstone projects in Minecraft. Beginners welcome! Camps open to students ages 11-18.

Adventures in Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Join us for a magical summer with the Bard. Comical forest mishaps, mischievous fairies, hilarious shapeshifting and jealous lovers all come together to create one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies. Each student will be cast in the one-hour, abridged production, to be performed on Saturday, July 23rd at 2pm and 7:30pm.

Greenlight Theatre Company offers both Broadway-quality productions and entertainment for industry professionals and youths in the Jacksonville area. GTC creates a space that promotes inclusivity, creativity, and professionalism within the arts community. Jacksonville has an incredible, untapped community of artists, ranging from musicians, actors, painters, sculptors, drag performers and much more. GTC is a place where all those trades could be showcased.

We are a bouldering gym in Atlantic Beach, Florida. Bouldering is rock climbing in its most pure form. It is a sport that is fun for the whole family.

All camps will be held Monday-Friday from 8:30am-12:00pm.

What to expect
Each day climbers will be fitted with rental climbing shoes and harnesses provided by Beaches Rock Gym.
All sessions start with stretching, rules presentation, and goal setting. Each day will include a variety of climbing instruction, climbing games, snack time, mindfulness, and free climb.

Snack and Drinks
Please have each child bring a reusable water bottle. We have a water fountain for easy refills.
We will have a short snack time each day. Please pack a small snack for your climber to give them some mid-day fuel.

Learn to Skate instruction provided by PSA Excellence On Ice rated coaches, daily snack, lunch daily from Icebreakers Bar & Grill, on-ice group skating classes, crafts, physical conditioning, and more.

Designed for youth and teens to learn the basics about theater and participate in guided theater games and mentorship – these camps are perfect for beginners, those who want to work on their skills, and kids who want to experience theater and see what it’s all about.

Youth Camp is for ages 5-12 and runs from 8-4 pm. Campers will explore various theatrical techniques and learn a sampling of drama skills.​

Camp cost $140 for the week or $40 a day. Come one day, all five or a combination. Pay in full or pay a $50 deposit to secure your space today. Attendance is limited.

This week long summer camp is five days of improv instruction and ends with a live improv comedy showcase in front of family and friends.

The Performers Academy Presents: Summer Acting Boot Camp

The Performers Academy is excited to offer our first annual “Summer Acting Boot Camp”! Lead by a veteran Playwright/Producer/Talent Agent and Professional Actor, this summer offers the best of the best in performance art training. Each two-week session will include:
• Improv | Acting Techniques | Scene Study | Monologues | Acting Exercises
• Acting for the Camera Overview | Stage Directions and more!
Each two-week session will conclude with a special performance for family and friends at 5:30

We are looking for all 3-12 year olds who want to have some serious fun on Friday mornings! You can drop in on certain Fridays or purchase a camp pass for a discounted rate! This will be a drop off event and snacks are included in each session!
