Veterans United Craft Brewery is a small, independent, veteran-owned and operated craft brewery located in Jacksonville, FL. The founder and Brewmaster, Ron Gamble, is a former Naval Flight Officer who flew jets from aircraft carriers and conducted missions over Iraq in the first Gulf War. Veterans United employs mostly veterans in the company with them holding positions in brewery operations, accounting, sales, and taproom staff. The 9A/Baymedows Regional Park site is situated between Baymeadows Road East and State Road 9A in southeast Jacksonville. The City purchased the 52-acre parcel from Disston Ranch in June 2002. Volunteer representatives from neighborhoods in the area, known as Baywatch, intent is to keep an eye on the development, growth, transportation, zoning, and parks and recreation issues relating to the area. Baywatch has had a significant role in the planning and funding for the Park in their coordination with Councilmember Graham and the Mayor’s Office. In December 2003, the Master Plan of the Regional Park was completed. Phase I development of the Soccer fields, infrastructure, playground, pavilions, and restrooms are open to the public by January 2008. Attia means gift in West Africa and I thought it was so appropriate because she is a gift and blessing in my life. I was born and raised in Belize, CA, and came to the U.S. in 2007 to further my education. I am married to an amazing hubby and I have two children, Bella (4) and Enzo (2). I also work full time for a healthcare organization and teach sprint part-time at the local YMCA. I am a busy bee! I launched Attia Designs on June 6, 2020. So, why earrings? I am completely obsessed with earrings and came across polymer clay earrings while browsing the internet one day. Quarantine from the pandemic gave me a lot of much needed time to explore my passions. I didn’t put much thought into planning, I dove straight into it and a month later here we are. I have had help from other amazing women on social media, who have been so encouraging. The best part for me is putting my own style and unique perspective into every design. Our goal is for everyone to have fun during their music lessons while learning in their own pace. Above all, we want each music lesson to become great memory of every student’s life!

At Little Seals Swim School, we offer one-on-one survival swim lessons to children as young as 8 months old. Babies/infants are taught to roll over and float on their backs. Once they reach a year old (or have been walking for about 6 weeks), they are taught to swim with their face in the water. The children are then taught to sequence the swimming with the floating in order to rest and breathe while swimming and playing in the water. They repeat the swim-float-swim sequence until they reach the steps or side. Once children are fully skilled, they have the opportunity to practice their skills fully clothed for “Silly Swim” lessons. Once lessons are completed, students are encouraged to maintain their skills by attending twice-monthly maintenance lessons (or semi-annual refresher lessons). Introduction to stroke lessons are, also, available for children that are developmentally ready (usually beginning between 4 and 6 years of age). Instructors are trained to present stroke lessons in a fun way that is relatable to young children.

The Swim Lesson Club indoor heated pool is located in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville. Our pool is heated 92 degrees and perfectly designed for teaching all ages of swimming instruction.

We utilize endless swimming technology allowing us to easily correct technique and achieve excellent swimming conditioning for our developing swimmers. We offer videographer and stroke analysis that is very difficult to accomplish in a normal lap swimming pool. We partner with Swim Angelfish and utilize a special methodology ideal for children with water anxiety, sensory sensitivity, autism, or in need of adapted swimming instruction.

We partner with US Masters Swimming to provide top-notch swim coaching for our developing and advanced swimmers. Our adult students benefit from our partnership with US Masters Swimming and the Emperor Penguin adult learn to swim program/ self-teaching method.

Instructors are certified Lifeguards and often Red Cross WSI certified. The Swim Lesson Club instructor mentoring process allows good instructors to become amazing working directly with the owner for weeks or months before they will teach classes independently. Our instructors are the best and achieve consistent progress with their students. We are not satisfied for our students to stagnate in lessons, our team will collaborate to adjust strategies for each student to achieve results in a fun way. We specialize in private or semi-private classes to focus our attention on each student’s unique learning process.

Art, Music, Drama & Dance Classes

Chuck Rogers Park is located in Mandarin, north of the intersection of San Jose Blvd. and Orange Picker Rd. Sometime between 1968-1977, a borrow pit was excavated on part of the site, which was later used as a private landfill. The efforts of the City, Councilman Dick Kravitz, and the Jacksonville Youth Soccer Club led to the purchase of the site in 1995 and its development as Mandarin’s first soccer park, which opened for the inaugural game March 7, 1997. An additional 1.1-acre parcel for the park was donated to the City in 1998. The park is named for Chuck Rogers (1909-1980), who worked for the Parks and Recreation Dept. for 41 years. He started and ran the City’s youth leagues in all sports, was the guiding light in the tremendous rise of slow-pitch softball in the City, served for many years as the grand marshal for the City’s parades, and much more. Eventually, Mr. Rogers was inducted into the Jacksonville Sports Hall of Fame.

The Jacksonville Youth Tennis Association (JYTA) is a single purpose community tennis organization (CTA) working to support and maintain tennis programs and services for children in the public communities of Jacksonville. We provide programs for children 10 & under and work in partnership with JaxParks in the coordination and implementation of the program in the public parks of Jacksonville.

The Mission of Arch Pilates & Physical Therapy is to teach “Every Body” of all fitness levels and age groups Pilates exercises and biomechanics to enhance physical movement and appearance. Children are not born with clear vision, but with visual potential. Visual development takes place during the first several years of life. Just like learning a language, children are also learning to see the world around them. Ophthalmic problems or even routine refractive errors (the need for glasses) can interfere with a child’s visual development.

It is estimated that about 80% of a child’s learning is visually based. Good vision is not only necessary for a child to learn to read and advance academically, but also for appropriate social development, behavior, self-esteem, and coordination.

Since younger children cannot express or verbalize their vision, and older children may not be aware enough to understand they have a visual problem; it is important to have any concerns evaluated. Pediatric eye evaluations and treatment differ greatly from the typical eye problems of adults. Children should be seen by someone with special skills and knowledge in pediatric eye care.

The HEAL Foundation is a local non-profit organization in Northeast Florida. HEAL serves individuals and families living with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The Foundation serves as an outreach organization providing, educational programs and camps tailored to the needs of our Autism Community.

Over the past five years, HEAL is proud to have awarded over one million dollars to provide:
