St. Nicholas Playground is located adjacent to Spring Park Road in the St. Nicholas/Spring Park section of Jacksonville. Following City land purchases in 1936 and 1937, the park was created and originally named Spring Park, and was expanded by additional land acquisitions in 1944. The St. Nicholas Park and Home Park subdivisions were developed near the park in the late 1930’s to meet the housing needs of Jacksonville’s growing middle class, and the Spring Park Elementary School opened adjacent to the park in 1942. The playground became a popular site for games of the City’s baseball leagues. In recent years the Spring Park Neighborhood Association and St. Nicholas Area Preservation have taken an active role in the maintenance and welfare of the facility, which contains a walking/jogging trail completed in 1999.

At First Coast Comedy we do funny. Our comedians specialize in improv comedy, meaning our shows are based entirely on your suggestions. Our trained comedy professionals have no plan and willingly dive headfirst into almost any challenge the audience will throw at them, resulting in unforgettably hilarious moments. For those reasons, no two shows are ever the same.

Deerwood Rotory Park is a great playground for the little ones because of the soft ground surrounding several playstructures. There are also covered picnic tables.

Jordan Park is 1.5 acres of wooded park with a large playground area, trees, covered picnic pavilions, grills, a basketball court, and a community center. 

The Jordan Park Community Center is a 2000 square foot of space – housing both Beaches Habitat and the community center. Hours normal hours of operation are noon to 6 pm.  The Community Center is available for rent with a 4-hour minimum of $100, plus a $200 refundable security deposit.  

Rotary Park a small playground right on the intercoastal located behind Beach Marine, next to the Florida Marine Patrol Station. Amenities include: boat ramp, fishing pier, and picnic tables.

Dance…It’s What We Do! Ballet Arts Centre is Jacksonville’s premiere dance studio, educating area dancers for over 50 years. Currently, under the direction of Sydney Keister, BAC offers technique classes in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip-Hop, and Acrobatics, as well as Tiny Dancer and Adult Classes. Exhibits include photos from the Great Fire of 1901, a fully-restored 1902 American LaFrance horse-drawn fire engine, and a working 1926 American LaFrance fire engine.
