Atlantic Beach is a terrific beach to explore with families. Bull Park is located just a few blocks from the ocean and offers a picnic zone or alternate play area (shaded playground!) if you or your little one needs a break from the sand and surf. There is not a lot of parking located near the beach, so your best bet is to find parking at either Jack Russell Park, Bull Park, or the Beaches Town Center area and walk to the ocean. From most of the Atlantic Beach public access points, you are a short to medium size walk to the Beaches Town Center, where you can find lovely local dining options and shopping alike!

Oceanside Rotary Skate Park is located at 800 Seminole Road in Jack Russell Park. Anyone under 17 years of age is required to have a Waiver Consent Form signed by a parent or guardian and notarized before a sticker decal is issued for admission to the skate park.

Skate park hours are 8 am to 10 pm. During inclement weather, rain or the bowl is wet, the skate park will be closed.

Jim King Park has a playground, a picnic area, a fishing area and boat ramp. The ramp is used as headquarters for the Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament, and is closed to the public during the tournament.

C.P.P.K. provides part day classes from 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and wrap around care from 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. September through May for children who are two, three, four and five years old by September 1st. C.P.P.K. is a Voluntary PreKindergarten Provider. Dance…It’s What We Do! Ballet Arts Centre is Jacksonville’s premiere dance studio, educating area dancers for over 50 years. Currently, under the direction of Sydney Keister, BAC offers technique classes in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip-Hop, and Acrobatics, as well as Tiny Dancer and Adult Classes. Inspired by our travels to Asia and memories of growing up, we all craved the unapologetic flavors of true Asian food—dumplings with bounce, spicy curries, crisp pork belly, and the list goes on. When in Asia, we knew the best dishes were on the streets from hawker stalls. At home, we turned to parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles to get a fix from generations-old comfort food recipes. We sought out restaurants in hopes of finding a gem, only to be disappointed 9 times out of 10.

Finally, it hit us—we had to redefine “eating Asian” in the states. From day one, the food was at the core of Hawkers Asian Street Fare—generations of Asian street food recipes have been passed down, some of which are still served on the streets of Asia. But there had to be more. We wanted to build a restaurant that would tell the story of the hawker experience in a subtle and design-conscious way. We wanted great drinks to pair with great food. Most importantly, we wanted to create a place that was high-energy, but approachable in a t-shirt or a sports coat.

Ellen’s Kitchen started as a small breakfast diner in Silver’s Drug Store in Jacksonville Beach in 1962.
