The mission of Youth Crisis Center is to provide safe shelter for at-risk children and youth, counseling for families in crisis, links to community resources, and life skills training for at-risk adolescents emerging into adulthood, all with the goal of strengthening families and restoring hope.

Jacksonville FC has been established since 1977 and consists of 3 main programs – recreational, academy and travel (KYX) teams for players aged U5-U19. The recreational program spans all age groups and is for player development and enjoyment of the game. The academy program offers both developmental academy (U6-U12) and travel academy (U9-U12). The goal is to provide age-appropriate technical and tactical training in a positive learning environment. The Advanced program (U13-U18) places players in a competitive training and playing environment that challenges them to reach the highest levels of play. To ensure that our animals benefit from the program, we ask that readers spend at least 30 minutes reading – there is no maximum time limit.

Children may read to either dogs or cats and may bring their reading materials or borrow books from our Pawsitive Reading library.

Private Full Time Islamic School. Al-Furqan Academy was established in August of 1997 by some of the same founding members of ICNEF (Islamic Center of Northeast Florida). The purpose and philosophy of Al-Furqan Academy is to please Allah (The Almighty) and to approach all issues with the guidance of the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). Cornerstone Classical Academy is a tuition-free classical charter school opening August 2020. CCA will begin K-6th grade and add a grade each year until 12th. Soccer Shots is a program offered to children ages 2-8 that meets once a week at daycare centers, preschools, elementary schools, parks, communities and churches throughout the city to introduce your child to soccer. We put the Silly Teaching and Exciting Moments in S.T.E.M. education by offering hands-on-learning for children ages 4 to 14 through FUN activities from designing and constructing rockets, hot air balloons, and roller coasters to robotics, video game designing and creating fun objects using LEGO® bricks. The variety of programming is extraordinary!

Engineering For Kids brings science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), to kids ages 4 to 14 in a fun and challenging way through classes, camps, clubs, and parties.

You and your child will explore the world of colors using the five senses! We will get a little messy through touch, taste, and a lot of fun! This class is most appropriate for children aged 10 months to about 3.5 years old!

Classes are held at the Dubow Preschool in Mandarin at 3662 Crown Point Rd.

This class combines strength training and power walking. Class ends with a focus on improving core strength and flexibility. This 45 minutes we will focus on Mommy or Daddy, so any child who still sits in a stroller is welcome!
Please bring a towel, water, and a resistance band.
Classes are held Mondays only. More days will be added if there is demand.

Family Music & Movement classes incorporate songs with movement and various hand held instruments. Classes are mixed-age but geared to 0-2 yrs old.
