Taekwondo is known for devastating kicks but make no mistake it has many weapons in its arsenal. The hand techniques are practiced and conditioned by breaking objects such as boards, roof tiles and cement blocks. All the techniques from kicks, strikes, down to blocks were developed to maximize damage with every blow. We also practice Taegeuk “Poomse” meaning forms or patterns. These are pre-arranged fight sequences that are practiced to develop hand-eye coordination, timing, balance, power, speed, discipline and overall body structure.

Master Gaines is currently a 4th Dan Kukkiwon Black Belt and has an Associate Level Coaches certification through USA Taekwondo. Founder, Martin Freeman, is a former law enforcement officer and is a father of 5. He recalls hearing the concerns of many coworkers, friends, and associates regarding the lack of childcare during their demanding unconventional work schedules. A probationary officer, who at the time had recently graduated from the Academy was placed on the midnight shift. She couldn’t find adequate childcare for her hours of work and also suffered from postpartum depression to the point that she attempted suicide. After Martin and his team rescued her, he was determined never to let this happen to another person. Martin’s endeavor to help ensure that no other parent face this type of situation was developed. His passion to provide a quality 7 days a week childcare, which would provide childcare during traditional and or non-traditional work hours for first Responders and all working parents was created.

My name is Cynthia, CMA happens to be my initials. So about me, your photographer. I am a mom to two teen aged boys and for the past 20 years I’ve been lucky enough to be the wife to the most amazing man EVER! I’m a huge animal lover, a vegan, a workoutaholic and a lover of all things romantic.

I started photography 12 years ago after a girlfriend of mine took pictures of my boys. The 9A/Baymedows Regional Park site is situated between Baymeadows Road East and State Road 9A in southeast Jacksonville. The City purchased the 52-acre parcel from Disston Ranch in June 2002. Volunteer representatives from neighborhoods in the area, known as Baywatch, intent is to keep an eye on the development, growth, transportation, zoning, and parks and recreation issues relating to the area. Baywatch has had a significant role in the planning and funding for the Park in their coordination with Councilmember Graham and the Mayor’s Office. In December 2003, the Master Plan of the Regional Park was completed. Phase I development of the Soccer fields, infrastructure, playground, pavilions, and restrooms are open to the public by January 2008. Crabtree Park is located in the Lakewood area, three blocks east of the intersection of San Jose Blvd. and University Blvd. West. Walter Crabtree developed the entire Lakewood area between 1946 and 1961, some of it around picturesque New Ross Creek that meanders through the northwest section. He conveyed the land for the park to Duval County in several deeds between 1957 and 1963. For over fifty years, Walter R. Crabtree (1899-1993) was a real estate developer and builder in Duval County. He operated his own lumber company, and built the Lakewood Apartments across from the park. The Town of Orange Park Farmer’s and Arts’ Market was created in September 2012. The market is run by The Town of Orange Park Events and Recreation Division. We have grown tremendously since our opening day. When is the market held? The market is held on most 1st and 3rd Sunday’s of each month from 11am-4pm. Some Sunday’s we’re closed due to special events or holidays. Our season runs from September through May and we are closed June, July, and August.

Where is the market located? The market is located on the busy corner of US17 and Kingsley Ave. 2042 Park Ave, Orange Park, FL 32073. This is an outdoor market and sometimes due to inclement weather the market may be closed. Just look for the large yellow signs!

What can you expect to find at the market? We offer a huge variety of quality handmade and homegrown items. You will find nearly anything your heart desires from locally grown honey, cupcakes, pies, salsa, granola, plants, produce, raw milk, eggs, cheeses, hand crafted jewelry, bird houses, pottery pieces, didgeridoos, soaps, and many many more handcrafted items!

Where do I park? Due to the success of our market, parking can, unfortunately, be problematic. We suggest parking at CVS/Winn Dixie and using the pedestrian crosswalks to enter the market. There is also parking at Town Hall off of US 17 and Smith St and Kingsley Ave- both of these areas offer limited parking.

How do I become a vendor? All vendors are required to fill out an application. Applications can be found on our website click here or you can pick up an application at Town Hall or our booth at the market.
