Divers Supply Swim School teaches the Swim Schools International standardized “Gold Script” curriculum. This proven Curriculum is appropriate for any person of any age and swimming ability. Our program focuses on a combination of water survival skills and swimming techniques. While keeping the lessons interesting and fun for the swimmer, safety is our number one priority.

Our lessons take place year round in our indoor heated pool and climate controlled facility. Your swimmer’s lessons can start or end at anytime with our Perpetual Lessons Program. Your swimmer can progress through their lessons at their pace as enrollment is always open and there are no session start and end dates.

Private Full Time Islamic School. Al-Furqan Academy was established in August of 1997 by some of the same founding members of ICNEF (Islamic Center of Northeast Florida). They saw the immense need for an Islamic Elementary School in the city of Jacksonville, and they acted upon it. First, written plans were formulated, classrooms were established within the Masjid, staff was recruited and numerous other plans and procedures developed. The result is that today, we are a school of approximately 60 students ranging in ages from 3 years up to the fifth grade. We have a new playground built according to federal safety guidelines as well as a library with three new, networked computers for our student’s use. It is indeed a blessing for any community to have within its midst a school consisting of a diverse population of children, where a multitude of ethnic backgrounds, religions, as well as cultural differences coexist and flourish together.

Ed Austin Regional Park is a huge park with so many fun things to offer. The large playarea is enclosed with a fence. Students are introduced to the pool and become comfortable in the water. In this stage, swimmers develop safe habits in a gentle and supportive aquatic environment.

Stroke Development

Students are introduced to the four competitive swimming strokes. In this stage, swimmers continue to learn safety skills while working on stroke techniques.

Owners of European Leather Gallery, Nancy and Dennis Kulm, have been married for more than 25 years. Their discovery of Stressless® furniture was by pure accident. This Low-mileage, Injury-free Training Program is for those who have jobs, families, and a life! The Jacksonville Galloway Training Program meets on Saturday mornings at various locations across the Jacksonville area, and follows Jeff Galloway’s training guidelines to get you safely across the finish line of a half or full marathon if your goals are to finish, or to achieve a ‘PR’. Our group runs feature walking breaks at regular intervals based on your skill level. Pace groups (of usually 8-15) are set up according to current fitness level, and a Group Leader is assigned to keep the speed slow enough for all members, and to enforce walk breaks from the beginning to the end.
Running is more fun when running together, as each member is motivated to run more often, and stay injury free. As you share stories, (gossip, issues) and pull one another along, the miles go by much more quickly. Lifelong friendships are formed in these mission-oriented, but laid back groups.
