Our Fresh Boxes are farm boxes filled with a variety of locally grown peak-season produce, a head of hydroponic lettuce or salad mix, and a dozen farm fresh eggs. You can choose the time interval for your Fresh Box to be delivered to fit your family’s needs – weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Going on vacation or traveling for work? No problem. Labor is physically and emotionally challenging. Prepare yourself with comfort measures that can be used during early labor or for those choosing a more natural birth. This one-night virtual class will enhance what you have already learned in your childbirth preparation class. You’ll have an opportunity to review labor, practice relaxation and breathing exercises, positions, and comfort techniques.

We offer two options for this virtual class:

• 1 Saturday session, 1.5 hours
• 1 weeknight session, 1.5 hours

In this condensed virtual class an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant or Certified Lactation Counselor will teach you the most important evidence based concepts needed to get breastfeeding off to the best start. There will be plenty of time at the end of class to ask questions.

Topics include:

• how breastfeeding works
• proper latch and position
• how long and how often to feed
• baby’s feeding cues
• signs that baby is getting enough
• breast care and comfort

Want to keep your little one as safe as possible? Join us virtually to learn what products and equipment to use, and how unintentional unsafe practices increase the risk of injuries.

This class will cover the most common injuries to babies in the first year along with preventive childproofing measures. A first aid lecture and a demonstration of infant choking and CPR procedures are also included.

Camden has had six hospitalizations, three surgeries, and numerous other cystic fibrosis-related complications. His care is managed by Nemours Children’s Health in Jacksonville, FL.

The Christoffersens created Camden’s Corner (a nonprofit organization) to raise awareness for cystic fibrosis and build a community for caregivers, as we know first-hand how hard it can be to be a caregiver and a parent to a medically complex child. Theatre Jacksonville’s newest outreach educational program is Theatre for Babies! The 90-minute event includes the show, Everything Is A Circle, Theatre Jacksonville’s original play.

Infants 3 to 12 months with parents or caregivers will be asked to remove their shoes and sit on the floor. Babies make noise, we know that. Their engagement is welcome in all ways. As parents and caregivers, you will want to take care of your babies, we know that too. Snuggling, feeding and changing are all part of taking care of them and totally allowed throughout the event.

Called different names over the years including Duval County Legal Aid Association, it was officially named Jacksonville Area Legal Aid in 1973. The organization achieved 501(c)3 status in 1976. JALA now serves 17 counties of North Florida including Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Madison, Nassau, St. Johns, Suwannee, Taylor and Union.

AIR FORCE JROTC MAGNET The Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps is a magnet program that focuses on leadership education to instill values of citizenship, character, and integrity. Upon completing three years of the Air Force JROTC program, students receive a Certificate of Completion. If cadets elect to enlist in the Armed Forces, the Certificate of Completion from the JROTC program will allow them to enlist as a pay grade E-3 in the Army, Navy, or Air Force, or an E2 pay grade in the Marine Corp.

HEALTH SCIENCES ACADEMY The Health Sciences Academy offers a unique educational experience to students who wish to pursue a career in the health care industry. Upon graduating from Andrew Jackson, students have the entry-level job skills needed to successfully pursue careers in many of the various health-related occupations. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on experience and rigorous critical thinking skills. This program also enables students to meet high school graduation requirements while earning college credits.

Our Community Education program provides quality services and programs after-school that involve various groups and agencies throughout our community. These include classes, homeowner’s groups, Scout troops, support groups, health and crime-related workshops and more.

We have classes for two, three and four year olds. Children must be two, three, or four by September 1 to be enrolled in these classes.
