Our doughnuts and glazes are all handmade from scratch in small batches throughout the day so your doughnut is delicious and fresh whenever you stop in.  And we use only the best ingredients–real, high quality butter, eggs, milk–you get the idea. We also seek out local partners who can offer exceptional ingredients.

We have about a dozen different rotating doughnuts on our menu plus doughnut sandwiches we lovingly call “doughwiches.”  We serve raised/yeast doughnuts, old-fashioneds, chocolate old-fashioneds and cake doughnuts. Our goal is to highlight seasonal and exciting flavors our baking team dreams up.

We now offer vegan doughnuts on Friday until sell out. Why only on Fridays you ask? Well, our kitchen space is limited and we want to make sure our vegan doughnuts are not just called vegan but are truly being made vegan. The Jacksonville Fire Museum serves as an educational link between past and present. Through the years, thousands of visitors have toured the museum, learning about the rich history of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.

At the Jacksonville Fire Museum, you will see thousands of items detailing the history of the fire service not only in Jacksonville, but the entire state of Florida. Exhibits include photos from the Great Fire of 1901, a fully-restored 1902 American LaFrance horse-drawn fire engine, and a working 1926 American LaFrance fire engine.

Theatre Jacksonville’s newest outreach educational program is Theatre for Babies! The 90-minute event includes the show, Everything Is A Circle, Theatre Jacksonville’s original play.

Infants 3 to 12 months with parents or caregivers will be asked to remove their shoes and sit on the floor. Babies make noise, we know that. Their engagement is welcome in all ways. As parents and caregivers, you will want to take care of your babies, we know that too. Snuggling, feeding and changing are all part of taking care of them and totally allowed throughout the event.

I have worked in Duval County Schools for 2 years and before that, I worked for 3 years doing outpatient pediatric rehab at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. I have familiarity with speech (articulation), fluency (stuttering), apraxia, language disorders, dyslexia, phonological disorders, reading, AAC (augmentative or alternative communication) devices, social skills, independent living behavior and language, cleft palate, Autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, low cognition, Down Syndrome, and some feeding and behavioral experience. I strive to learn from and creatively tailor my treatments to each child and family (every kid is different!).

Program Offered:

Lone Star is a tuition-free public high school that operates two sessions per day – morning and afternoon. Students have the opportunity to enroll in the four-hour session that best fits their personal schedule so they have the flexibility to earn a quality education while working, caring for family, or managing other commitments.

Once enrolled, the school works with the student to create a personalized academic plan to graduate, and immediately helps the student to start earning credits as his/her own pace. Courses are computer-based to help the student to focus and track progress, and certified teachers provide individualized support.

The school serves ages 16 to 21. Graduation ceremonies are held in June.

There is no cost to attend. All programs are free.

The Jacksonville Junior Volleyball Association is a North Florida youth sport association founded by three area coaches in 1989 for the purpose of promoting the sport of volleyball for school age students in the city and surrounding areas. These coaches were Mary Andrew (Former Head Coach, FSCJ), Elise Bush (Head Coach, The Bolles School), and Brandy King (Former Head Coach, Mayport Middle School).

In the past 26 years this association has grown from 3 teams, 30 players, and 3 coaches, to 74 teams, over 500 players, and 70+ coaches.

Our mission is to promote the sport of volleyball, as well as health and fitness throughout Northeast Florida by providing educational training and competitive playing opportunities to players of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels.

Private Full Time Islamic School. Al-Furqan Academy was established in August of 1997 by some of the same founding members of ICNEF (Islamic Center of Northeast Florida). They saw the immense need for an Islamic Elementary School in the city of Jacksonville, and they acted upon it. The Story Behind European Leather Gallery

Owners of European Leather Gallery, Nancy and Dennis Kulm, have been married for more than 25 years. Their discovery of Stressless® furniture was by pure accident. Shortly after moving to Florida in 2001, they saw a Stressless® chair in a restaurant and bought one. About three months later, Dennis, who had a history of terrible back problems realized his back didn’t hurt anymore. Cesery Park is located in Arlington’s Lake Lucina neighborhood, at the corner of Cesery Boulevard and Columbine Street. The park and boulevard are named for William R. Cesery (1912-1996), a pioneer developer of Arlington who started the trend of building larger apartment complexes in Jacksonville. About 1950, he purchased forty acres for his first subdivision, which took its name from a large water hole that he called Lake Lucina. General Trading Company, whose principals, D.W. and F.W. Tredinick, founded the Jax Liquor Store chain, donated the land for the park to Duval County in 1961. The County created a tot lot for children, and the City took over its operation following consolidation in 1968. A wooden pavilion and picnic tables were added to the park in 1996.

Our Mission
Our mission at SwimRise Aquatics is to encourage elite level training and life-long skills in the water and in the community. SwimRise Aquatics takes a ‘whole-person approach’ to coaching by maintaining a daily rhythm to training and mentality. Rising each morning to pursue goals, empowered by trust and resilience. When properly supported, the power of participating in sports fosters confidence, discipline, and leadership. These strengths are then carried into the classroom, community, and their future roles in the world.

Community Connections Child Development Center

We serve low-income children from the residents of our Davis Center from six weeks to 5 years of age in our four-star, state-of-the-art program. Age appropriate activities encourage positive and healthy development. Our Center offers the new Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK); low teacher to children ratio, breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack provided at no additional cost.

After School Programs

After school programs are available at 5 sites including TEAM UP sites at Hyde Grove, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Oak Hill Elementary Schools; and four community based sites supervised homework assistance, tutoring programs, the NFL Play 60 physical fitness program; engaging field trips, and the Jaguars’ Honor Rows location.

The St. Johns Cathedral School is sponsored by the Cathedral and Diocese and includes infants to Pre-K 4 in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville.

This park is named after A. Philip Randolph who grew up in Jacksonville and became one of the most important figures of the Civil Rights Movement during the 1950s and 1960s. A life-size bronze statue of Olympic Gold Medallist and Dallas Cowboy star, Bob Hayes, was added to the park in November 2002. Hayes grew up in Jacksonville, less than a mile from the park. Park amenities include playscapes, an amphitheater, picnic tables, benches and restrooms.

From ballet and opera to contemporary pop, jazz, rock, country and blues The Florida Theatre offers 200 cultural and entertainment events annually for every taste and age. More than just an entertainment center, The Florida Theatre is also home to graduations, awards ceremonies, lectures, business meetings and charity events that support the community’s schools, churches, hospitals and civic groups.

As an anchor to downtown development along the beautiful St. Johns River, The Florida Theatre draws 250,000 people to Jacksonville’s center each year. The magnificently restored Florida Theatre is recognized as one of the finest concert venues in the Southeast. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Florida Theatre holds special memories for four generations. From the Vaudeville acts and silent films of its earliest days to today’s blend of performances of all kinds, The Florida Theatre has served as Jacksonville’s premier entertainment center since 1927.
