Labor is physically and emotionally challenging. Prepare yourself with comfort measures that can be used during early labor or for those choosing a more natural birth. This one-night virtual class will enhance what you have already learned in your childbirth preparation class. You’ll have an opportunity to review labor, practice relaxation and breathing exercises, positions, and comfort techniques.

We offer two options for this virtual class:

• 1 Saturday session, 1.5 hours
• 1 weeknight session, 1.5 hours

In this condensed virtual class an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant or Certified Lactation Counselor will teach you the most important evidence based concepts needed to get breastfeeding off to the best start. There will be plenty of time at the end of class to ask questions.

Topics include:

• how breastfeeding works
• proper latch and position
• how long and how often to feed
• baby’s feeding cues
• signs that baby is getting enough
• breast care and comfort

Want to keep your little one as safe as possible? Join us virtually to learn what products and equipment to use, and how unintentional unsafe practices increase the risk of injuries.

This class will cover the most common injuries to babies in the first year along with preventive childproofing measures. A first aid lecture and a demonstration of infant choking and CPR procedures are also included.

Crabtree Park is located in the Lakewood area, three blocks east of the intersection of San Jose Blvd. and University Blvd. West. Walter Crabtree developed the entire Lakewood area between 1946 and 1961, some of it around picturesque New Ross Creek that meanders through the northwest section. I have worked in Duval County Schools for 2 years and before that, I worked for 3 years doing outpatient pediatric rehab at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. I have familiarity with speech (articulation), fluency (stuttering), apraxia, language disorders, dyslexia, phonological disorders, reading, AAC (augmentative or alternative communication) devices, social skills, independent living behavior and language, cleft palate, Autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, low cognition, Down Syndrome, and some feeding and behavioral experience. I strive to learn from and creatively tailor my treatments to each child and family (every kid is different!).

I am available during after school hours 3-6, Monday-Thursday.

I provide services in the home and can aso use video chat to communicate as well.

Jacksonville FC has been established since 1977 and consists of 3 main programs – recreational, academy and travel (KYX) teams for players aged U5-U19. The recreational program spans all age groups and is for player development and enjoyment of the game. The academy program offers both developmental academy (U6-U12) and travel academy (U9-U12). The goal is to provide age-appropriate technical and tactical training in a positive learning environment. The Advanced program (U13-U18) places players in a competitive training and playing environment that challenges them to reach the highest levels of play. JFC travel programs have 35 teams who participate in regional, state and premiere leagues.
