Fifth through 12th grades may sign up for Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Pointe, and Acrobatics. Pointe class must be with approval.  Ballet and Pointe are two separate classes.  You must take Ballet in order to take Pointe.  There is however one costume for the two classes.  The recital dance is learned during the Ballet Technique class when both Pointe and Ballet students are present.

Growing Together Behavioral Center is one of Jacksonville’s premier schools for children with autism and developmental disabilities. We pride ourselves on being a school where each child is treated as an individual, and educational plans are tailored to their personal needs.

Our school is unique from the public school settings, as we are able to focus on the specific needs of each individual child, whether academic, life skills, or behavioral. We are also unique in that we offer year-round school and extremely low student to teacher ratio (largest class 6:2), both of which are proven methods to help our children work toward their highest level of learning.

At Growing Together we believe that all students affected by autism and other developmental disabilities can reach their fullest potential through an education based in structure, fun engagement with peers, and loving teachers and staff supporting and encouraging them daily. Crabtree Park is located in the Lakewood area, three blocks east of the intersection of San Jose Blvd. and University Blvd. West. Walter Crabtree developed the entire Lakewood area between 1946 and 1961, some of it around picturesque New Ross Creek that meanders through the northwest section. UNF offers a five week reading enrichment programs for all age groups starting at 4 years old through high school/adults. Each session is customized for age-appropriate learning and is taught by teachers from the Institute of Reading Development, a recognized leader in reading curriculum design and instruction since 1970. The Institute provides reading development programs for more than 125 colleges and universities around the country.
Institute teachers are lifelong readers, dedicated to sharing the academic and personal rewards of reading. Preschool: Ballet/Tap combination with acrobatics. These classes are available Monday-Thursday 2:45-3:45 p.m. (Please note on the contract if you prefer a certain day.) This year we are also offering a Monday morning class from 9:00-10:00 a.m.

Kindergarten: Ballet/Tap combination with acrobatics.

First through 4th grades may sign up for Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Acrobatics. Remember, each class is separate with their own recital dance and costume. For example; if your child takes all 4 disciplines they will have 4 costumes. First grade does not have a recital dance for acrobatics, therefore would not have a costume for that class.

Fifth through 12th grades may sign up for Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Pointe, and Acrobatics. Pointe class must be with approval. Ballet and Pointe are two separate classes. You must take Ballet in order to take Pointe. The recital dance is learned during the Ballet Technique class when both Pointe and Ballet students are present.

Open Ballet Class: This is an additional dance class available for those students already enrolled in ballet. This is a class focused on ballet technique, stretching, and conditioning. It will be taught on an advanced level. It is open to anyone currently in Junior, Advanced 1 or Advanced 2 classes.

Extra Classes: If you wish to take additional classes please indicate on your registration form by putting the number of classes next to each discipline. (For example; Ballet – 2.) Any serious student should be taking a minimum of 2 Ballet classes per week beginning in 5th grade. Younger students may also take additional classes with approval.

Student Assistants: Students 7th grade and older are eligible to assist with classes. A tuition discount will be offered for assisting. You must assist for the entire year in order to receive a discount. Priority is given to older dancers. Please note on your registration the day and times you are available

Classes are leveled as students mature. Please respect your teacher’s placement. If changes need to be made, they will be adjusted after classes begin. We realize students dancing in summer programs may need to be re-evaluated in the Fall

Atlantic Beach is a terrific beach to explore with families. Bull Park is located just a few blocks from the ocean and offers a picnic zone or alternate play area (shaded playground!) if you or your little one needs a break from the sand and surf. There is not a lot of parking located near the beach, so your best bet is to find parking at either Jack Russell Park, Bull Park, or the Beaches Town Center area and walk to the ocean. From most of the Atlantic Beach public access points, you are a short to medium size walk to the Beaches Town Center, where you can find lovely local dining options and shopping alike!

RoboThink’s monthly membership robotics club, located at iFly Indoor Skydiving on Mondays 5:00-6:30p, is designed to teach your child the full range of RoboThink’s innovative STEM robotics and coding courses. Graduating through levels starting as a Junior Engineer, your builder flies through an exciting journey of robotics technologies. RoboThink is a step-by-step international learning program. Our exciting STEM programs develop core STEM skills that students apply to school subjects and their future careers, while fostering a love for science and robotics.
