If you have never been to a Pilates class, it may be a bit intimidating to see all the equipment, but it’s as easy as learning how to use weights at the gym. You can perform a vast range of exercises and Pilates moves on the reformer, using the springs to provide guidance and resistance throughout your workout. Our classes will tone and firm up the entire body with special emphasis on the core. Over time, you’ll increase flexibility in the legs, arms, core and entire body without building bulk. The springs can be adjusted to different resistance levels based on whatever is right for you. Our instructors will cue you on things such as the quality of breathing, rhythmic inhalation and exhalation and proper body alignment.

The HEAL Foundation is a local non-profit organization in Northeast Florida. HEAL serves individuals and families living with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The Foundation serves as an outreach organization providing, educational programs and camps tailored to the needs of our Autism Community.

Ultimate Beaches Guide: We find ourselves at Jacksonville Beach events all season long. It is a vibrant, bustling beach. There are so many fun festivals, concerts, and movie nights at the amphitheater. If you are heading out to enjoy the sand and waves on Jacksonville Beach, you will find ample parking across the beach; but be careful that you do not park in a restricted area. If you think your little one might need to get off the beach and stroll away from the sand for a time, this a terrific beach for you. There is a park on 9th Avenue North, Tall Pines Park, that can provide a nice change of pace. There are also easy-to-access public restrooms on 3rd Avenue North, 2nd Avenue North, and 5th Avenue North. It may sound crazy but my favorite eatery to frequent on my Jacksonville Beach days is a grocery store, Native Sun. This place makes delicious juices and has lots of yummy ready eat foods that are perfect to take with you. Private Full Time Islamic School. Al-Furqan Academy was established in August of 1997 by some of the same founding members of ICNEF (Islamic Center of Northeast Florida). They saw the immense need for an Islamic Elementary School in the city of Jacksonville, and they acted upon it. Private lessons are available to students of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’ve been surfing for years or are hitting the waves for the first time, Saltwater Cowgirls instruction will provide the guidance you’re looking for. Lessons are offered all year and will be scheduled according to favorable surf conditions. Lessons are available Monday – Saturday. We take Sundays off and do not offer lessons.

Group Surf Lessons are great opportunities for birthdays, bachelorette parties, corporate outings and family fun in the sun.

Tri with Skye is a week-by-week triathlon training program designed for time-crunched mothers and inspirational women athletes. The sessions include swim, bike and run clinics led by local experts like Planet Swim and Jacksonville Running Company. Weekly group runs and rides plus 24/7 support by Ironman Skye Johnson. Triathletes will get a discounted membership at LA Fitness, BFAS race entry and have a lot of fun together!

I am nationally certified as a childbirth educator with ICEA, also with the Gottman Institute as a “Bringing Baby Home” Educator. I offer the following classes:
1) “Pre-Conception” – for couples hoping for a baby
2) “Early Pregnancy” – for women in the first trimester
3) Preparation for Childbirth – for couples in the third trimester
4) “Bringing Baby Home” – for new or expectant parents. Research shows that women who take this class experienced a 46% reduction in the risk and severity of PPD and other PP mood disorders. Couples report improved relationships and more positive parenting skills.
